Can children take a bath after vaccination?

Children should not take a bath immediately after receiving a vaccination, as this is not good for their health. They need to wait 24 hours before taking a bath to prevent complications. They may also experience some adverse reactions after receiving the vaccination, and these reactions should be controlled. However, if the symptoms are not so serious, you don't need to pay attention to them.

Vaccines are auto-immune preparations used to prevent infectious diseases that are made by artificially attenuating, inactivating, or using genetic engineering methods for pathogenic microorganisms (such as bacteria, rickettsia, viruses, etc.) and their metabolites. Vaccines retain the ability of pathogens to stimulate the animal's immune system. When an animal comes into contact with this harmless pathogen, its immune system will produce certain protective substances, such as immune hormones, active physiological substances, special antibodies, etc.; when the animal comes into contact with this pathogen again, its immune system will follow its original memory and produce more protective substances to prevent the pathogen from causing harm.

Vaccines refer to preventive biological products used for human vaccination in order to prevent and control the occurrence and spread of infectious diseases. Biological products refer to preparations for prevention, diagnosis and treatment prepared from microorganisms or their toxins, enzymes, human or animal sera, cells, etc. Biological products used for vaccination include vaccines, bacteria and toxoids. Among them, those made from bacteria are called vaccines; those made from viruses, rickettsia, and spirochetes are called vaccines, which are sometimes collectively referred to as vaccines.

Generally, it appears about 24 hours after vaccination, and the injection site may be red, swollen, hot and painful. Severe reactions may cause inflammation of nearby lymph nodes and lymphatic vessels. The range of swollen nodules at the injection site is divided into mild, moderate and severe. Mild ones are less than 2.5CM in diameter, and moderate ones are 2.5-5CM. More than 5CM is a severe reaction, and the reaction can last for several hours. If the local redness and swelling is severe, you can apply hot compress (hot compress is strictly prohibited for redness and swelling after BCG vaccination). Once in the morning and evening, each time for about 5 minutes. And change underwear frequently to avoid infection after ulceration. If there is local infection, apply gentian violet.
