Blisters on baby's body

Blisters on baby's body

The skin of infants and young children is very fragile and usually has no resistance. If you don't pay attention, they will develop some diseases. The most common thing is that you will feel a lot of blisters on your baby's body. These blisters will be accompanied by an itchy feeling, which will make the baby cry constantly. So first of all, you need to give them antipruritic drugs to relieve the symptoms.

The skin of infants and young children is relatively delicate, and they have more flesh on their buttocks. The two pieces of flesh in the buttock groove are stuck together and rarely separate. Because of reasons such as clothing, body position, and improper handling of urination and defecation, the buttock groove becomes locally damp and stuffy, which can easily cause the skin in contact with the buttock groove to become flushed. If not properly cared for within 24 hours, the skin in the buttock groove will become red and swollen, and the friction of skin wrinkles will cause the red buttocks to gradually worsen. This situation is called contact buttock groove skin ulcer, commonly known as "flooding" in the north. If it occurs on the baby's buttocks, it is called "flooding buttocks", and if it occurs on the baby's neck, it is called "flooding neck".

Disease progression

Contact buttock groove skin ulcers initially manifest as flushing of the buttock groove skin, which develops into redness, swelling, whitening and watery skin after 24-48 hours, and then the skin is damaged and small-scale ulcers appear. If not controlled, the scope of skin damage and ulceration will gradually expand until the same symptoms appear outside the buttock groove, and finally point-like and block-like skin and muscle ulcers will appear, causing extremely serious harm to the health of infants and young children.

Causes

Contact buttock groove skin ulcers are mainly caused by damp and airtight skin and friction damage to the local skin, which gradually cause water-like changes and damage to the skin; and after the buttock groove skin becomes flushed, the two pieces of flesh in the buttock groove will fit more closely together due to the seepage of skin fluid, causing the local area to become more airtight and exudate, forming a vicious circle; after the skin becomes red and swollen, improper use of various moist ointments will also cause airtightness and skin adhesion, causing the condition to continue to worsen.

Care methods

It is necessary to improve the moisture level of the skin, promote breathability, isolate friction damage, reduce skin exudation, and reduce skin adhesion to improve symptoms; you can use talcum powder and other products as lubricants to reduce skin friction damage, use tannic acid ointment to reduce skin exudation, or use Beiqiao cockscomb firewood seed powder. The natural firewood seed starch contained in it has a long-lasting lubricating and isolating effect, and the high content of firewood seed tannin active ingredients improves skin exudation and can prevent the skin from sticking. As long as the two pieces of skin in the buttock groove of infants and young children are no longer stuck together, the symptoms will improve quickly.
