In fact, one thing that many mothers will worry about when they are about to give birth is the problem of hypoxia when the baby is born. As we all know, if the baby suffers from hypoxia, it will have a great impact and harm on their health, and may even cause disability. So below we will analyze and introduce in detail the types of neonatal hypoxia in clinical practice. Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy refers to encephalopathy caused by intrauterine distress or asphyxia and hypoxia during birth during the perinatal period, especially before and after the birth of a newborn. It is currently one of the main causes of disability in children in my country. According to clinical manifestations, neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy can be divided into three types: mild, moderate and severe. Mild symptoms include irritability, overreaction to stimuli, tremors of the jaw and limbs, active primitive reactions, but normal muscle tone, no tension in the anterior fontanelle, and no convulsions. Generally, the symptoms gradually subside and recover 24 hours after birth, and there is basically no sequelae. Moderate symptoms include lethargy, slow response to the outside world, decreased muscle tone, weakened primitive reflexes such as hugging and sucking, and some children may have convulsions. The anterior fontanelle is not tense. Most of the symptoms disappear after one week. As long as active treatment is taken and the child responds well to the treatment, most of them will not have sequelae, but some may have sequelae. Severe cases are manifested as coma, irregular breathing, continuous convulsions, loss of muscle tone, loss of primitive reflexes, full or tense anterior fontanelle, and loss of pupil light reflex. Severe cases usually die within a week. Although there are survivors, symptoms last for several weeks and most of them have sequelae. Medical observation shows that the prognosis of the disease is related to the degree and duration of hypoxia-ischemia, gestational age, the scope and location of brain lesions, and whether the treatment measures are timely and appropriate, as well as early intervention. Therefore, whether there will be sequelae depends on the extent of brain damage in children. The sequelae often caused by this disease are cerebral palsy, mental retardation, and language disorders. Regardless of the cause of brain damage, active and effective treatment and rehabilitation exercises are very necessary, which plays an important role in repairing brain nerve function and reducing sequelae symptoms. And sick children should be reviewed regularly. Only by scientifically understanding this common sense can we effectively avoid the occurrence of neonatal hypoxia problems. At the same time, it also reminds every pregnant mother that they should do regular prenatal care and understand what kind of delivery method they should choose based on their physical condition to effectively avoid more adverse effects. |
