What should I do after the infection of ascariasis?

I don't know if you have ever had ascariasis before. This disease is roundworms that appear in our stomachs. They may cause us stomach pains, and many people often suffer from severe pain. Many times we often cannot sleep in the middle of the night due to the pain. We must learn more about the infection routes and methods to prevent the dangers of ascariasis. Below we will briefly describe the infection routes and methods of ascariasis.

Ascaris is the most common intestinal parasite in the human body, and the infection rate is highest in children. Its main symptoms are poor appetite, abdominal pain, or diarrhea, constipation, and it can even cause symptoms such as malnutrition, anemia, and poor intellectual development in children. Due to the stimulation of toxins, children may experience symptoms such as restlessness, irritability, fright, and teeth grinding, and may even develop serious complications such as ascariasis intestinal obstruction, biliary ascariasis, ascariasis appendicitis, peritonitis, and allergic pneumonia. How to prevent and treat ascariasis? Ascariasis is easier to treat than to prevent. Easy to treat means that high-quality anthelmintics are effective and have few side effects.

It is difficult to prevent because ascarid eggs can enter the human intestines through many ways, such as through contaminated food, contaminated hands, and contaminated water sources, which can cause infection. Therefore, it is important to prevent both initial infection and repeated infection. Therefore, a lot of work needs to be done to eliminate ascariasis, such as eliminating flies and cockroaches, managing feces, water sources and food well, educating children not to urinate or defecate anywhere, washing hands before and after meals, cutting nails frequently, not sucking fingers, and washing raw fruits and vegetables or soaking them in disinfectant. If you can do these things seriously, you will not be infected by ascarid eggs again. The anthelmintic drug of choice is ① Albendazole (SmithKline Worm Clear), 200 mg per tablet, 2 tablets each time (infants should not take this medicine for anthelmintic treatment). The cure rate is 96% and the egg conversion rate is 100%. ② Mebendazole (Anleshi) has two dosage forms: tablets, each tablet is 100 mg; Anleshi oral suspension, each bottle is 30 ml, each ml contains 20 mg of the drug. The dosage is 200 mg per day, taken once, or 100 mg each time, twice a day, for 3 consecutive days. The cure rate is 87% to 100%, and the rate of negative conversion of worm eggs is 90% to 100%.

How to eliminate the infection routes of ascariasis is something that each of us needs to pay attention to, so as to better avoid the harm to our bodies and prevent it from spreading unscrupulously. At the same time, we must maintain our personal hygiene and develop good living habits, which can also effectively prevent this disease.
