How to supplement zinc deficiency in a 7-month-old baby?

For everyone, the body should maintain adequate nutrition to keep the body healthy. But in life, there are always some people who lack various nutrients, some lack calcium, some lack iron, some lack zinc and so on. For babies in the growth and development period, these nutrients cannot be lacking in the body. So, how to supplement zinc deficiency in 7-month-old babies?

Zinc, like other trace elements, cannot be naturally produced in the human body. Due to various physiological metabolic needs, we excrete a certain amount of zinc every day, so we need to consume a certain amount of zinc every day to meet the needs of our body. However, there are ways to supplement zinc, especially for seven-month-old babies. Pay more attention to the method of zinc supplementation. The specific methods of zinc supplementation are as follows:

1. When mothers find that their babies have symptoms such as pica and anorexia due to zinc deficiency, they should go to the hospital in time to check the zinc content in the baby's blood and supplement zinc according to the baby's body needs. Never give new drugs to the baby as nutritional tonics, so as not to bring more adverse reactions to the baby.

2. We all advocate breastfeeding for babies, especially colostrum, which is high in zinc. The nutrients in it are incomparable to milk and milk powder, and these nutrients are easier for babies to absorb. Therefore, unless absolutely necessary, mothers should try their best to breastfeed for the healthy growth of their babies.

3. If a breastfed baby is zinc deficient, mothers can eat more foods high in zinc, which can increase the zinc content in breast milk appropriately, and the baby can get more zinc by drinking breast milk.

Through the above, mothers have learned how to supplement zinc for eight-month-old babies, but the amount of zinc supplementation for each baby is different. The Chinese Nutrition Society recommends that the amount of zinc required for babies is: 3 mg per day for babies from birth to 6 months; 5 mg per day for babies from 7 to 12 months; so mothers should supplement zinc for their babies according to this amount. Mothers can choose seafood such as kelp, dried shrimp, oysters, and straits to supplement zinc for their seven-month-old babies; meat such as chicken, beef, pork liver, and pork kidneys; fruits such as apples, walnuts, mulberries, and peanuts; vegetables such as carrots, soybeans, sweet potatoes, potatoes, spinach, and cabbage, etc. These foods can help babies get a certain amount of zinc.
