What to do if your child is allergic to milk

Newborn babies need a lot of nutrients to promote their body growth, but there are relatively few nutrient choices for babies. Most modern parents feed their babies with milk. Therefore, milk plays a very important role in our lives. However, a considerable number of babies are allergic to milk. So, what should we do if our children are allergic to milk? Let me briefly explain this issue to parents.

Infant milk allergy is actually an allergy to the protein in milk, that is, it is caused by the baby's immune system overreacting to milk protein. Cow's milk allergy is the most common food allergy in a baby's first year of life! About 2.5% of babies are allergic to cow's milk.

Generally speaking, breastfed babies have a lower risk of allergies than babies fed regular infant formula containing complete cow's milk protein, so breastfeeding is a more convenient way to prevent infant milk allergies.

Because the protein in breast milk is the same protein as the baby, it has a very low allergenic effect. Breast milk also contains probiotics such as bifidobacteria, which can help the baby establish a healthy intestinal flora and train the baby's immune system, thereby reducing the risk of allergies.

Therefore, all international authoritative organizations around the world recommend that babies should be exclusively breastfed for at least 4 to 6 months after birth.

The phenomenon of children being allergic to milk is often seen in our lives. Therefore, we should have a complete set of coping methods for this phenomenon. If the child is born with an allergy to milk, it is recommended not to feed milk, but breastfeeding is more effective. Therefore, children's allergy to milk can be solved.
