Baby scalp erythema

Baby scalp erythema

Many patients tend to neglect some of the early manifestations of lupus erythematosus because they do not understand it. First of all, in the early stages of lupus erythematosus, it is like some small plaques, which often occur very obviously, but are difficult to cure. Patients are often accompanied by rashes and joint pains, and it can also cause damage to heart function. Therefore, when parents find red spots on their baby’s scalp, they should go to the hospital for examination in time.

Early symptoms of lupus erythematosus scalp

When you first hear about lupus, you may think it is just a minor illness like red spots on your face. In fact, it is a very scary disease and difficult to cure. Symptoms of lupus erythematosus include:

First, blood cell reduction: After contracting lupus, a large number of various antibodies will appear in the body, so the red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets are destroyed by themselves and reduced. This is a symptom of lupus.

Second, joint pain: More than 90% of lupus patients will experience symptoms of joint pain, which may occur in every stage of the disease. Some joint pains last for a long time, while some only last for a short time. Joint pain can first occur several years before the onset of lupus.

Third, erythema and rash: Eighty percent of lupus cases will have skin lesions, and the erythema and rash usually appear in various forms. Red spots or rashes can occur on any part of the body and are generally painless and itchy.

Fourth, heart damage: About 25% of lupus patients will have pericarditis. If the condition is mild, there may be no symptoms. If the condition is severe, there will be pain in the precordial area or chest tightness, which is difficult to detect clinically.

Fifth, mucosal ulcers and hair loss: Twenty percent of lupus cases will have mucosal damage, such as mucosal ulcers on the lips, tongue, nose, etc. If secondary ulcers occur, it may be painful. Hair loss may occur in areas with redness or rashes.

Lupus erythematosus causes obvious damage to the skin, so many patients often cannot face skin damage, which can easily lead to psychological collapse. The harm of lupus erythematosus can be controlled if it is properly prevented and treated. As long as patients understand the symptoms of lupus erythematosus and go to a regular hospital for treatment in time, they can recover their health as soon as possible.
