What to do if your baby lacks a sense of security

The health of babies is what parents are most concerned about. During the baby's growth process, many babies will lack a sense of security. For example, babies will cry when they can't see adults. These are all manifestations of the baby's lack of security and must be taken seriously. So what should we do if the baby lacks a sense of security? Let’s take a closer look at this issue.

1. Assure him that you will be back soon. Maybe he thinks that if you leave, you will never come back, and he will not be safe. You can play some games about object permanence with him to let him know that an object (such as a teddy bear toy, a teacup, or even a person or you) is still there even though he can't see it in person. Even if mom leaves, she won’t disappear, she will come back.

2. The distance between you and your partner gradually increases. At first, he was still inside the house where he could see her, taking a sewing box, wiping the table, and then doing something outside the house.

3. The time away is gradually increasing. Start with only one or two minutes, then gradually increase to five or six minutes, and then seven or eight minutes. Talk to him during this time so that he thinks you are still around.

4. When he is having fun, you'd better say to him: You build (play) with building blocks (or something else) very well, Mommy is going out to get some celery to pick (he may not understand this sentence, it doesn't matter, you can also say something else), I will be back soon! This way, he can be mentally prepared, which will be much better.

When the baby lacks a sense of security, parents must give the baby encouragement in time so that the baby can build up confidence. For example, it is necessary to cultivate the baby's sense of independence and not let the baby always stick to you. After a period of training, the baby will gradually gain confidence and a sense of security and will not cry when he doesn't see anyone.
