What causes red spots in children's eyes?

Any problem of the child will concern the parents, and the eyes are the most important organs of the human body. Most of the information from the outside world is transmitted through the eyes. Therefore, parents pay special attention to the problems of their children's eyes. Once the eyes are hurt, it is very painful for both the baby and the family. If you want your baby's eyes to be healthy, you must prevent eye injuries. Observe your child's eyes more often to see if there is anything abnormal. So what is the common reason for children’s red eyes in daily life?

1: The child is suffering from indigestion. Generally in summer, babies need to be fed water in time, but some mothers are careless and forget to feed them, so the babies get inflamed due to lack of water. After getting angry, the baby's eye mucus will increase and the eyes will turn red, so it is recommended that mothers must feed their babies water in time in summer.

2: The child’s eyes are infected with bacteria. Babies often rub their eyes with their hands. If your nails are too long and are not trimmed regularly, it is easy to rub the bacteria on your hands into your eyes, causing symptoms such as red eyes and increased eye mucus due to bacterial conjunctivitis. So you should keep your baby clean regularly. If your baby's eyes have a thick, yellow discharge and his eyelids are swollen or stuck together, it's likely caused by bacteria, such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, or Haemophilus.

3. The problem with eyelashes. When a child's eyelashes grow, they sometimes turn inward, which will rub against the eyeball, causing an increase in eye mucus and red eyes. Therefore, it is recommended that mothers use a cotton swab dipped in warm water to comb their children's eyelashes.

Normally, the sclera of the eye is white. However, once inflammation, fatigue, or vascular disease occurs, the blood vessels under the conjunctiva will immediately dilate, causing bloodshot and congestion in the eye. Acute and chronic conjunctivitis, various keratitis, iridocyclitis, scleritis, glaucoma, chemical burns of the eyes, etc. can all cause varying degrees of eye congestion and the appearance of red bloodshot.

Parents must not take children's eye problems lightly. There are many reasons for children's red eyes. In daily life, develop good eye habits, pay attention to hygiene, avoid eye fatigue, and take proper rest. If the situation cannot be alleviated, it is recommended that you do not use medication blindly, go to a regular hospital for examination, determine the cause under the guidance of a doctor, and treat it correctly.
