What to do if your newborn baby spits bubbles

What to do if your newborn baby spits bubbles

The bodies of newborns are relatively fragile. After they are born, their bodies are in a process of development. They will have different physical reactions in different months. With new development, they will produce bubbles at the mouth. Some of the reasons are physiological and some are pathological. Let us understand what we should do if a newborn baby blows bubbles at the mouth?

Reasons for newborn babies to spit bubbles from their mouth:

In the outpatient clinic, a small number of babies with pneumonia will show bubbles at the mouth. This is because the trachea of the newborn is short, narrow and funnel-shaped. When exhaling, the gas in the lungs rushes out through the narrow trachea, and the phlegm in the trachea is flushed out of the mouth through the short respiratory tract. Bubbles are produced when the gas passes through the dirty phlegm.

The central nervous system and salivary glands of newborns are still immature, and the amount of saliva secreted is small. At 3-4 months, the salivary glands begin to develop and the amount of saliva secretion increases. However, the baby's oral cavity is relatively shallow at this time, the swallowing ability is not fully developed, the movements of lip closing and swallowing are not coordinated, and the excess saliva in the mouth cannot be regulated, so drooling and spitting bubbles are prone to occur. No treatment required, it will go away on its own!

Newborns who spit bubbles from their mouths need to prevent pneumonia:

For newborns, especially those who are very young, the symptoms of pneumonia are not obvious. Generally, there is no cough, the body temperature does not rise, and it may even be lower than normal! Sometimes the only thing that can be observed is the phenomenon of "bubbles at the mouth" or gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea.

Judging from the above characteristics, if the baby spit bubbles, it should be paid attention to. If the baby is less than three months old, it is likely to be a symptom of pneumonia; if it is three or four months old, it is mostly normal. Whether there are signs of pneumonia can be further judged from the baby's breathing, eating, mental state, and whether there are other abnormal conditions to further decide whether to see a doctor.

Neonatal pneumonia diet therapy:

1. Add 50 grams of lily and 200 grams of coix seed to 5 bowls of water, boil into 3 bowls, take in 3 times, 1 dose per day.

2. 5 pieces of pomelo flesh, 60 grams of dried cabbage, 15 grams of Astragalus membranaceus, and 250 grams of lean pork. Boil all the ingredients together and drink the soup. Take 1 dose per day, divided into two doses. It can nourish qi and yin, moisten the lungs and resolve phlegm.

3. 10 grams of almonds (peeled and crushed), 1 to 2 duck pears, and appropriate amount of rock sugar. First, cut the pear into pieces and remove the core, then cook it with almonds. When the pear is cooked, add rock sugar and drink it instead of tea.

4. 30 grams each of walnut kernels and rock sugar and 150 grams of pears, grind them together, add water and boil them. Take 1 spoon each time, 3 times a day.

The above is the solution to the problem of bubbles in the new clay pot. We all know that children do not have much expressive ability, and parents can only judge whether the child is sick by observing the child’s body. In order to avoid causing various types of pneumonia, it is recommended that parents observe some minor symptoms in their children’s bodies. Once some minor symptoms appear, they should go to the hospital for examination in time.
