Causes of foaming at the baby's mouth

Causes of foaming at the baby's mouth

After birth, babies often catch colds and fevers due to their poor immunity. If mothers do not take good care of their babies or do not feed them water in time, their babies' bodies may be affected. For example, many careful mothers often find bubbles on their babies' mouths. What causes this?

Generally speaking, if the body temperature is around 38C, there is no need to rush to cool it down. This way, you can observe the fever type and will not hinder the body's gradual development of disease resistance. If the body temperature is above 38.5℃, appropriate cooling measures can be taken, especially for children with a history of high fever and convulsions, who should be actively cooled.

There are many ways to reduce fever, and the following are some methods suitable for home use:

1. Alcohol bath. If you can’t find alcohol, you can use white wine instead.

2. Cold compress on the head: You can use an ice pack on your head, or a cold towel on your forehead, or both at the same time. This method is simple and easy to do, and all you need is cold water, or even better, ice water. Remember to replace cold towels or ice packs in time to enhance the fever-reducing effect.

3. Medication to reduce fever: Antipyretic drugs should be used as prescribed by the doctor. Too large a dose may cause excessive sweating and collapse; it should also not be used too frequently, that is, the interval between two uses of the same antipyretic drug should not be too short, so as to avoid accumulation of the drug in the body and side effects. Generally, the interval between two treatments should be 4 to 6 hours. Paracetamol is the best and safest antipyretic drug for children with few side effects. Can be kept at home. "Yididiqingdi" developed by Shanghai Huangshan Pharmaceutical Factory is a new dosage form of paracetamol suitable for children. Other antipyretic drugs such as aspirin, pheniramine, and analgin must be used under the guidance of a doctor as they all have different side effects.

4. Drink more warm water, which is also one of the ways to help reduce fever. Drinking warm water can promote sweating and dissipate heat through the skin, thus achieving the purpose of reducing fever.

If your child has a fever in the middle of the night, you should measure his temperature first. If it is over 38 degrees, you need to use suppositories. You should buy some and keep them in the refrigerator at home or keep the leftovers from seeing the doctor! If it is just a little hot, give him a less hot bath (slightly cool but not too cold) and let him drink more water, and the condition will improve. By the way, a cold pillow is indispensable. When using it, you should put another layer of towel on it to avoid frostbite on the head before the fever subsides.

From the above we learned about bubbles in the baby's mouth. In fact, when babies are drinking breast milk, if mothers eat too salty food or do not pay attention to their diet, it may cause bubbles in the child's mouth.
