What's wrong with my child's red eyes?

When the eyes turn red, the first reaction is that the person is crying, but other than that, it may also be that there are some real problems with the eyes. For example, if you suffer from an eye disease, you may experience such symptoms. However, if this situation occurs in children, parents will be very worried and they need to go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time. So, what is the disease that causes redness under the eyes of children?

1. If the child's eyes become red, vision is blurry, eye secretions increase, and eyelids are red and swollen, then the child's eyes may be inflamed, and inflammation is usually conjunctivitis, commonly known as pink eye. For this type of disease, if it is not treated in time, it may cause eyelash sealing and the child will be unable to open his eyes. However, if it is discovered in time and medication is taken as soon as possible within one to two days, it can be relieved and will not bring too much impact. The first symptom of conjunctivitis is redness of the eyes. If you want to prevent eye diseases, it is important to maintain eye hygiene, for example, you should wash your hands more often and try not to rub your eyes.

2. Another possible reason is overuse of the eyes, which leads to excessive fatigue and causes dry eyes. There are many possible reasons for overwork, one of which is lack of rest. When a child's sleep quality decreases, it may hinder the rest of the eyes. The symptoms of dry eyes include red eyes in children, fear of wind, photophobia, and tears in the wind. Another reason is that children's long-term improper use of their eyes, such as watching TV, using the computer, or reading for a long time, may cause red eyes.

If amniotic fluid and blood get into the eyes during birth, it may cause an eye infection.

For new mothers, there is no need to worry too much about this situation. The symptoms will recover automatically after a short period of time. It is also a common eye infection. The flow of amniotic fluid and blood to the baby's eyes during birth is also an important cause of eye infections in babies.
