What are some quick ways to relieve toothache in children?

Recently some children have been suffering from toothaches. For example, our neighbor’s child cries in pain every day, affecting the sleep of the neighbors around him. However, his parents do not know the quick pain relief method for children’s toothaches. If they knew, the children would not be so painful. In fact, this is not good for everyone and affects everyone’s work and rest time. Thinking of this, I actually want to share the method I know with everyone to solve everyone’s troubles. So what is the quick pain relief method for children’s toothaches?

1. Trauma: It is common for babies to accidentally fall and hurt their teeth. Sometimes, people bite on sand, stone or bones while eating, which can cause traumatic apical periodontitis of the teeth and cause pain. If the teeth are just a little loose, just take some anti-inflammatory medicine, eat soft food and let your baby's teeth rest for a week. If the tooth is broken, the doctor will need to extract the exposed dental nerve under anesthesia and then fill or extract the tooth.

2. The toothache does not occur when you do not eat, but it does occur when you eat. The pain is aggravated when you eat cold or hot food. This usually means there are deep cavities on the teeth and you must go to the dentist for treatment. If the hole is shallow, just fill it. If the hole is serious, the dental nerve needs to be deactivated before filling.

3. Toothache presents with paroxysmal severe pain without any cause, and the baby will cry in waves even when he does not eat. Babies often feel pain in one side of their teeth, but cannot point out which specific tooth is hurting. Toothache will get worse at night, and the baby will often cry all night and refuse to lie down. This is a typical inflammation of the dental pulp nerve. In this situation, no painkillers will be effective. The only way to relieve the pain is to take the baby to the dental department immediately and let the doctor use a dental drill to grind open the tooth and then apply some anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs. However, such teeth will need to be devitalized and filled after they stop hurting, and multiple visits for treatment are required.

4. The baby's teeth are constantly hurting, and if not treated, the pain will gradually get worse day by day. At the same time, redness and swelling due to tooth decay occur, teeth become loose, and in severe cases, the baby's face also becomes swollen. Sometimes the baby's submandibular lymph nodes are also swollen and fever symptoms appear. This is an inflammation around the root tip, which sometimes develops into a purulent inflammation. In this case, you must ask a doctor to grind open the affected tooth to drain the pus, take antibiotics orally or intramuscularly, and change the dressings repeatedly until the inflammation is completely eliminated before you can finally fill the tooth.

Kind reminder: Do not take medicine randomly for toothache, and do not let your baby take tetracycline drugs (such as tetracycline, oxytetracycline, etc.). For mild toothache, you can take some co-trimoxazole, and for severe toothache, you need to inject penicillin intramuscularly.

The above describes a quick method to relieve children's toothache. I hope the children will get better soon and not let their parents worry. I also hope that this will not disturb their neighbors' sleep and rest in the future. In fact, it is good for children's bodies if parents learn more about children's health care methods. After all, toothache is a very painful disease. I hope the children will grow up quickly and lively.
