Symptoms of swollen lymph nodes in the neck in children

Since watching "Under the Dome", as a mother, I have been deeply moved by Chai Jing's sense of responsibility. I think children's swollen lymph nodes may be related to smog, or radiation. We cannot control the environment, but we can still actively monitor our growth and health. Fortunately, the symptoms of children's swollen lymph nodes are not very serious.

After entering kindergarten, there are more children in the class and the chance of children being exposed to viruses and bacteria increases greatly. Therefore, babies at this stage are particularly prone to catching colds and are more likely to develop symptoms of swollen lymph nodes.

Because the child's immune system is relatively weak at this time, the lymphatic system can be said to be an important immune system group in the human body, which is spread throughout the body. After an upper respiratory tract infection, the lymph nodes in the neck and behind the ears are particularly prone to enlargement. So mothers should not be anxious at this time. If the lymph nodes are smooth, elastic and mobile, then mothers do not need to rush to take their children to see a doctor to avoid cross infection.

Mothers must remember not to always pay attention to the lymph nodes on their children's neck and behind their ears, so as not to cause psychological stress to their children. It is also easy to arouse the baby's curiosity and cause repeated touching and stimulation.

Mothers should relax. In the acute stage of upper respiratory tract infection with lymphadenopathy, medication should be used reasonably based on blood routine. Mothers should not give their babies anti-inflammatory drugs without authorization. Anti-inflammatory drugs are only needed when blood routine shows bacterial infection. For viral infection, ribavirin, Retoxin, Xiyanping, etc. can be used. If there is no acute infection and the lymph nodes are simply swollen due to a cold, no medication is needed.

Some swellings will be slowly absorbed after days, months or years, while some swellings will persist throughout one's life without causing any impact on the body.

Some children usually experience abdominal pain after a cold, which is especially worse after meals and drinking milk. At this time, the mother should take the child to the doctor and do an abdominal ultrasound to rule out other diseases. Mothers who are diagnosed with mesenteric lymphadenopathy should not be anxious or overly nervous. The cause of abdominal pain is enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes, which causes small intestine spasm.

The children at this time are young, and their gastrointestinal function and immune system are not yet fully developed, so enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes are a very common symptom. If the diagnosis is confirmed by color ultrasound, the mother will have to pay attention to the child's daily life and diet.

Therefore, lymph nodes are a condition that covers the whole body. They were not discovered before, not because there was no such disease, but because the family was too poor and they couldn’t even fill their stomachs, so how could they cure the disease? Children nowadays are much happier, but they also have their troubles! The symptoms of swollen lymph nodes in children are still a vague concept for them, but for us, it is an unknown omen. Is it a benign development or a malignant development? It tests our nerves.
