Baby sweating

Parents should pay attention to night sweats in children, find out the cause and treat it in time. The baby is the center of a family. Once the baby is sick, both mom and dad will worry. There are many reasons why babies sweat profusely. It may be that parents dress their children in clothes that are too thick, or it may be due to some pathological reasons. If it is caused by wearing too many clothes, it is not a big deal, but if it is due to pathological reasons, it must be treated promptly.

Parents should note that weather, different seasons, different climates, temperature and other environmental factors may cause the baby to feel uncomfortable or sick. Sweating in babies is a common clinical symptom. If your baby sweats profusely, it may be because the baby is too active and naughty, or it may be caused by certain diseases. Parents should pay attention to go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible.

Generally speaking, sometimes children have physiological sweating because they wear too many clothes, cover themselves with too thick quilts, or have irregular diet (such as eating spicy food). However, most sweating occurs frequently in children with poor physical constitution, that is, pathological sweating. Their clothes will get wet whether they are doing activities during the day or sleeping at night. In this case, parents should pay special attention to their children and find ways to improve their physical fitness.

The main thing in this case is to dress your child correctly and change clothes in time according to the change of seasons. Don’t cover your child too much or too thickly when he/she sleeps in the summer. Try to use fanning or other methods to cool your baby down.

In terms of diet, avoid letting your baby eat spicy or hot food. Eating such food will cause your baby to sweat profusely. Generally, if the baby returns to a light diet, he will no longer sweat profusely.

Avoid letting your baby do too much strenuous exercise. Excessive exercise in babies can lead to excessive sweating and prone to spontaneous sweating. Once the cause of excessive sweating is eliminated, the phenomenon of excessive sweating will disappear. Moreover, these children are generally in good health and have no other diseases.

Pathological sweating usually occurs when children sweat frequently after falling asleep at night, with the clothes and quilts covering them appropriately and no other physiological reasons.

In addition to excessive sweating, if there are other symptoms such as sleep disturbance, startle, and hair loss on the occipital area, you may be suffering from calcium deficiency. This requires timely calcium supplementation for the baby. It is best to give the baby some oral solutions such as calcium gluconate, which are easier for the child to absorb and digest.

If you are not sure whether your baby's sweating is caused by calcium deficiency, you can go to a regular children's hospital or local community health center to check trace elements to see if your baby is calcium deficient.

If your baby is unwell, parents should not hesitate but take him to the hospital for examination and symptomatic treatment as soon as possible. Babies are young and have low body resistance, so if they show some symptoms, parents should take them to the hospital for examination as soon as possible. If the baby's sweating is due to pathological reasons, treatment should not be delayed, and the baby's diet should be light, and more attention should be paid to replenishing the baby with water.
