Tuberculosis in children

Diseases such as childhood tuberculosis are actually what parents worry about the most. We must be aware of the harm of diseases such as childhood tuberculosis in our daily lives. Only after we know the harm and symptoms of childhood tuberculosis to children, can we better treat and cure childhood tuberculosis as soon as possible. We must understand this.

In comparison, childhood tuberculosis is very easy to cure. We have this disease. If the diagnosis can be made early, anti-tuberculosis drug treatment can be better provided. Under normal circumstances, the lesions of pediatric pulmonary tuberculosis will be absorbed or hardened within three to six months, and then calcified after about a year, so the prognosis is good.

Primary syndrome and bronchial lymphadenopathy are the most common, with fewer cavities formed in the lungs. Mycobacterium tuberculosis forms exudative inflammatory lesions in the lungs, namely primary lesions, and lymphangitis and bronchial lymphadenitis occur simultaneously. The three are collectively referred to as the primary syndrome. When the primary lesion is extremely small or cannot be detected by X-ray because it has been absorbed, and only enlarged hilar lymph nodes are seen, it is called bronchial lymphadenopathy. Most of them are mild with a slow onset, especially in older children, who may have no obvious symptoms; or they may be misdiagnosed as a lingering cold and ignored.

Easy to spread. Under unfavorable internal and external environmental conditions, such as young age, low immune function, malnutrition and excessive tuberculosis infection, the lesion can progress or worsen, easily causing hematogenous dissemination and the occurrence of miliary tuberculosis and tuberculous meningitis. These two diseases are often the main causes of death from tuberculosis in children. They are more common in infants and young children, and often occur within 6 to 12 months of the child's initial tuberculosis infection. Parents should pay enough attention to this.

For people's health, when we treat pediatric tuberculosis, we must go to a regular hospital for treatment according to the child's physical condition. Do not blindly use drugs on the child, which may easily cause inappropriate treatment for the child's health, not to mention being harmful to his or her own body. It will still cause great impact on the child's growth.
