Hand, foot and mouth disease crying at night

Hand, foot and mouth disease crying at night

After the onset of hand, foot and mouth disease, the night is the most painful, because people need to sleep at night. After falling asleep, the body will naturally evaporate heat, and the whole body will feel hot and dry. Because the heat can cause infection, the pain and itching of small blisters will always be uncomfortable. Children should be disinfected daily, the air at home should be kept unobstructed, and eczema care should be done regularly to prevent incomplete recovery.

Nursing care for children with hand, foot and mouth disease

1. Pay attention to disinfecting children’s daily necessities, especially those related to eating. There are also some frequently touched places that cannot be ignored.

2. As long as the baby does not have a fever, outdoor activities can be carried out. Places with plenty of sunshine and fresh air are very suitable for sick children to relax, but try not to go to crowded or unventilated places to avoid cross infection or bringing the virus to other people.

3. Always have normal saline solution on hand and use it to rinse your baby’s mouth before and after eating. If your baby is too young to rinse his mouth, use a medical cotton swab dipped in normal saline to gently wipe the affected area. When preparing food for children, you should also try to avoid spicy, cold, difficult to digest, and difficult to chew food. The food should be mild and delicious to avoid irritating the affected area.

4. If there is more than one child in the family, the sick child must be separated from healthy babies.

5. Keep the air in the house circulating. Do not invite other people to visit your home when the child is sick. Fathers should also try not to smoke at home to prevent air pollution.

6. Do not wrap the baby's clothes too tightly. Underwear must be soft and comfortable, changed and washed frequently, and then exposed to the sun. The same applies to mattresses and quilts.

7. The baby's feces should be dealt with in time, especially the feces remaining on the buttocks should be cleaned up to keep the buttocks clean and hygienic.

8. If your child's rash triggers a new infection, apply some 1% gentian violet.

How to prevent hand, foot and mouth disease

In kindergarten

1. Supervise each baby to maintain good personal hygiene. Teachers should supervise every baby to wash hands before meals and after defecation, help them dry their quilts frequently, and remind parents to change and wash bed sheets in time.

2. Ensure your baby’s food safety. Every meal in the kindergarten must be clean and hygienic, and the food must be strictly controlled to prevent babies from coming into contact with unclean or contaminated food.

3. Check the children who have just arrived at the kindergarten every morning to see if they have any rice-like blisters on their hands or mouths. Touch their heads to see if they have a fever (you can also use a digital thermometer). Finally, talk to the mothers to see if there are any abnormal conditions in the children at home.

4. Regularly disinfect toys, tableware, etc. in the kindergarten, as well as door handles, table edges and other places that babies often touch.

5. Regularly organize personnel to clean the indoor area and spray disinfectant, especially in the toilets. Wear protective clothing when cleaning to avoid being infected by bacteria during work.
