Symptoms of hernia in girls

Symptoms of hernia in girls

In our lives, many people are prone to hernias. Most of them are children. Because the organs in children are very immature, hernias in children are prone to lung cysts, which gradually develop into pneumothorax. This is more serious for children and must be treated in time, otherwise it may ruin the child's life. So what are the symptoms of hernia in girls?

What are the symptoms of hernia in children? This is a question that many parents are concerned about. In recent years, more and more children have suffered from hernia. Many parents do not understand hernia and do not know the symptoms of hernia. As a result, their children do not find hernia in time. By the time they find it, it is too late. So what are the symptoms of hernia in children?

1. What are the symptoms of hernia in children? 1. Many children may be found to have hernia a few days or months after birth, or even after they are 4 or 5 years old.

2. Hernia in children is usually caused by coughing, defecation, urination, crying, strenuous exercise, etc., and there will be a protruding mass in the groin. The mass will disappear automatically when the child lies down or is pressed by hand, or it will appear and disappear when the child is quiet or sleeping.

3. In children, the organs that prolapse from the tumor are mostly the small intestine, so it feels soft to the touch and is often accompanied by gurgling noises when it goes back in. Other organs such as the large intestine, appendix, and greater omentum may also prolapse. In addition to being able to see or feel lumps, some children may also experience constipation, loss of appetite, spitting up, etc. Some may also become prone to crying and become restless. If the scrotal hernia is too large, it will cause inconvenience in movement. In women, the ovaries are more likely to prolapse, so a thumb-sized, hard and mostly tender lump can often be felt.

4. If the tumor cannot be returned to the abdominal cavity, abdominal pain will worsen, crying will continue, and then vomiting, abdominal distension, difficulty defecation and other intestinal obstruction symptoms will appear. An oval tumor can be seen in the groin or scrotum, with a hard texture and obvious tenderness. If the intestine is incarcerated for a long time, redness and swelling can be seen on the skin. If the intestine cannot be returned for a long time, serious complications such as intestinal ischemia and necrosis may occur.

5. If a child's hernia is not treated for a long time, it is possible to develop an incarcerated hernia. Once an incarcerated hernia occurs, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, fever, anorexia, or crying and irritability are likely to occur, which can easily endanger the child's life and health.
