Why do kids always fart?

Why do kids always fart?

Farting is a normal physiological phenomenon that happens to everyone, but people think that farting is very damaging to one's image. Farting is the process of the human body expelling gas from the body. People who do not fart may often have flatulence. When people eat food, some gas is produced while it is being digested and absorbed by the stomach and intestines. These gases are discharged through farting. So why do children always fart?

1. Eating too much milk

If you find that your baby cries, farts a lot, and has abdominal colic when sucking milk. It may be hyperlactation syndrome. The principle is that the baby consumes a lot of foremilk and less hindmilk containing fatty acids. The baby's stomach empties quickly and excretes excess lactose into the intestine, which leads to increased intestinal fermentation and colic symptoms.

2. The baby is hungry

Babies' tendency to fart is also related to being hungry. If your baby keeps farting intermittently, and most of the farts are empty but have no odor. That is mostly because after the baby's gastrointestinal tract is emptied, the intestinal motility caused by hunger increases.

3. Eating too much starch

Many times babies love to fart and they are all smelly farts. They fart or hiccup constantly and have a sour and smelly smell. This is a sign of indigestion in babies.

4. Swallowing excessive air

When babies suck milk, they suck air into their stomachs, causing their stomachs to gurgle, which results in more farts.

The baby's digestive system is not yet fully developed, the stomach is small and flat, and when a large amount of air passes through the intestines, the baby will feel very uncomfortable.

If there is a lot of flatulence, the mother should let the baby burp more often, and let the baby burp the flatulence before and during each feeding. When feeding, hold the baby in a semi-sitting position in your arms and let the baby hold the nipple and areola in his mouth. The milk flow should not be too strong or interrupted.

Is it normal for babies to fart frequently?

The baby is always farting and his stomach is rumbling. Is it because of poor gastrointestinal digestion? The gastrointestinal tract of infants is immature, which causes uncoordinated intestinal peristalsis at different stages of the baby's life, causing intestinal bloating - the stomach is rumbling, there is a lot of gas, a lot of farts, and frequent crying for unknown reasons. This phenomenon is medically known as infantile colic.

Infant colic refers to a healthy, well-nourished baby who cries for at least three hours a day, at least three days a week, for more than three weeks. Most babies start to show symptoms 2 to 3 weeks after birth and gradually improve after 3 to 4 months. Since infant colic is a problem in the baby's development, parents do not need to worry and should understand that this kind of crying by the baby is not a disease.

At the same time, keep the baby in a comfortable position as much as possible to help the child defecate smoothly. If the situation is more serious, you can take some drugs to improve gastrointestinal motility. If you find that your baby's colic is difficult to relieve, you should consider whether your baby is allergic to milk protein. Mothers can reduce the amount of milk or dilute the milk appropriately. Children who are suffering from diarrhea can take probiotic powders such as Mommy Love or Biostime to shorten the course of diarrhea and regulate the gastrointestinal system.
