Children feel inferior when their parents are not around

Children feel inferior when their parents are not around

In recent years, there have been many left-behind children in China. Some rural children go to school at home while their parents have to work in big cities. For these children, the psychological impact is relatively large, and they are prone to develop some inferiority complex. This has a relatively large negative impact on the children's future growth, future work and life. This is a relatively serious social problem and I hope it can receive more attention.

Children feel inferior when their parents are not around

(1) The child is withdrawn and timid. Because his parents are away from home, he lives with his grandparents for a long time. The grandparents dote on the child very much, and many issues cannot be communicated and resolved in a timely manner. The child then develops a withdrawn and timid personality.

(2) Severe inferiority complex. Other children are picked up by their parents after school and go to school, but he is not; on weekends, other children can go shopping or visit the park with their parents, but he cannot; when he is not feeling well, other children's parents will ask about his health by his bedside, but he does not... Due to the lack of love from his parents for a long time, the child will develop an inferiority complex over time.

(3) Stubborn. Since children have lived with their grandparents for a long time and have lived with their grandparents since childhood, their grandparents can be said to be dedicated, loving and taking care of them meticulously. But because of this, children are likely to develop a stubborn character, and over time it is easy to form a stubborn character. Although he may get good grades in school, he may not be able to get along well with his classmates.

(4) He does not like to go home, spends money lavishly, and does not know what saving is. There is no parent in the world who does not love his or her children. Because they cannot stay with their children and love them, they feel sorry for their children, so they leave more money for their children to spend. This is the mentality of many parents.

What are the disadvantages of letting the elderly take care of children?

1. Over-indulging your baby will hinder his or her self-growth

When the grandparents were young, they might not be able to take good care of their children due to the limitations of living and working conditions. They are prone to develop a compensatory mentality, focusing all their love for their children and grandchildren on their grandchildren, loving and caring too much for the babies, paying them excessive attention, to the point of doing everything for them and indulging the babies in everything, which leads to problems such as willfulness, strong dependence, and poor self-care ability in the babies.

2. Cause family conflicts and lead to estrangement between parents and children

2. Holding on to old ideas will hinder the baby's personality development

Many grandparents have backward educational concepts and lack a correct understanding of the characteristics of babies' psychological development. They may restrict the baby's various exploration activities, make some demands on him that are not suitable for his age, and invisibly restrict him, causing him to lack pioneering spirit. In addition, many elderly people have outdated knowledge and relatively rigid thinking. They look at things in a rigid way, tend to stick to the old ways, and adopt overly traditional methods to educate their babies. Then, their backward education model will affect the speed at which babies accept new knowledge, causing the babies to lack awareness of creative and divergent thinking. Of course, there are also many grandparents who have low education levels and relatively old-fashioned ideas. They may also unconsciously pass on some feudal dregs that are out of date to their babies, which restricts their thinking and hinders their personality.
