What should I do if my child has recurring high fever?

Nowadays, there are many unscrupulous businesses that will not even let children go in order to make money. Some major domestic dairy brands have been found to add various additives that do not meet the standards to varying degrees, resulting in decreased resistance in children and repeated high fevers in children. Of course, it is not just dairy products that cause children to have recurring high fevers. What should we do when our child has recurring high fever?

There are several solutions:

1. Cold compress method: This method is simple and easy. Apply a cold towel to the forehead. After the towel becomes hot, soak it in cold water and apply it again. Using a cold water bag or ice pack is more effective than applying a cold towel to the forehead.

2. Wipe the whole body with warm water or take a bath: Undress the baby, rub the whole body with a towel in warm water (about 37℃) or take a bath. This can dilate the blood vessels in the baby's skin and dissipate body qi; in addition, when water vapor evaporates from the body surface, it will also absorb body heat. Take a bath for about 10 to 15 minutes each time, about once every 4 to 6 hours.

3. Wipe with a cool towel: Use a slightly cool towel (about 25 degrees) to wipe your forehead and face.

4. Drink more water: It helps sweating. In addition, water has the function of regulating temperature, which can lower body temperature and replenish water lost in the body.

5. For infants with fever, the diet should mainly consist of liquid food, such as milk, lotus root powder, milk (with less oil), etc. You can also drink some mung bean soup or ice watermelon to help cool down, promote diuresis and fight disease.

6. Children with fever and cough should not eat too much to prevent vomiting. They should eat easily digestible food and eat less seafood and salty and greasy food to prevent allergies and coughing and aggravate the symptoms.

Adults should not only pay attention to the causes of repeated high fever in children from the perspective of living habits and weather, but also buy genuine and qualified milk powder and food for their children. You should be more careful when your baby is just born because that is when the baby is at its weakest. I hope the above suggestions are useful to mothers, and that babies can grow up happily and healthily, without illness or pain.
