What are the common diseases of newborns?

People who work every day are busy going to and from get off work and do not pay attention to common diseases of newborns. Diseases can have a great impact on the health of newborns. Parents must pay more attention to the care of the affected areas, which is also a very important part. So, what are the common diseases in newborns?

1. The main manifestations of neonatal pneumonia are rapid, labored or irregular breathing, coughing, spitting and other symptoms. The children have varying degrees of blueness around the mouth and nose. Some full-term newborns with good responses may have symptoms such as flaring of the nostrils. It is common in mothers who have premature labor, premature rupture of membranes, or when the mother or people in close contact with the baby have recently suffered from an upper respiratory tract infection.

2. The main symptoms of neonatal sepsis are loss of appetite, poor spirits, fever (premature infants or seriously ill infants may also have no temperature rise), pale face, good sleep, worsening jaundice, bleeding spots on the body, abdominal distension, and hepatosplenomegaly. It is more common in pregnant mothers with fever infection, premature rupture of membranes, turbid amniotic fluid, and newborns with umbilical infection or skin pustules and damage.

3. The early manifestations of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy are mainly excessive excitement, limb tremors, long eye opening time, and even convulsions. Severely ill children may initially show drowsiness, coma, weak limbs, and a full fontanelle that feels like a drum when touched. The medical history of the child often includes intrauterine and intrapartum hypoxia, accompanied by intracranial hemorrhage, etc. A head CT, cranial ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging and necessary tests can provide a clear diagnosis.

4. Purulent meningitis is manifested by pale or cyanotic face, refusal to feed, poor response, no fever or fever, weak crying or screaming, staring eyes, full anterior fontanelle, and convulsions in severe cases. Symptoms are similar to those of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy and sepsis, and often coexist with sepsis.

The above is a brief introduction to the common diseases of newborns. I believe everyone is clear about it. Nursing is something that all neonatal illnesses require. If common neonatal diseases receive scientific care, patients can suffer less pain.
