Red blisters on baby's lips

Red blisters on baby's lips

It can be said that a child is a piece of flesh that falls from the mother's body, so in the mother's eyes, the child is a treasure that nothing can replace. A mother understands everything about her child's growth, and she is also the first to discover a problem with her child, so people say that being a mother is not easy. Some mothers find red bubbles on their babies’ lips. What’s going on?

1. What is the reason for the child's red mouth?

1. Getting angry: The child’s mouth turns red due to excessive internal heat. It is recommended to reduce the child’s internal heat in time.

Suggestion: You can take medicines to reduce fever, such as Huanglian Shangqing Tablets, eat more fruits, such as bananas and apples, drink more boiled water, and eat cool foods, such as honey water. Do not eat spicy, irritating, or irritating foods.

2. Spleen damp-heat: A child’s red mouth may be due to spleen damp-heat. Lips are the color of the spleen, and bright red lips indicate spleen damp-heat. Heat is generated due to cold, and the Yang Qi cannot rise, and dampness is generated due to cold.

Recommendation: Eat more sweet potatoes, whole grains, and green vegetables, and reduce the amount of high-protein (especially animal protein) appropriately. Eat less cold food. In addition, when you are sick, you should get fewer injections and use fewer antibiotics. Dress warmly.

3. Bitten by mosquitoes: If the child’s mouth is red, it may be caused by mosquito bites. Judge the degree of redness of the child’s lips. If it is red and swollen, it may be caused by something.

Suggestion: If you don’t use anything on your mouth, you can only wait for it to slowly disappear. It won’t be a big problem. Be sure to do a good job of preventing mosquitoes.

4. Cheilitis: A child’s red mouth may be caused by cheilitis. The lips are red, as if they have been painted with lipstick. The condition is more serious at night, and the child’s lips are red, swollen, and peeling. This is most likely a symptom of cheilitis.

Recommendation: You can apply cod liver oil ointment, anti-inflammatory or hormone-containing ointment, or anti-cracking lip balm topically. Make sure your diet is easily digestible and avoid spicy food.

Second, the precautions for cheilitis:

1. Avoid licking your lips casually. Licking your lips will only bring temporary moisture. When the moisture on the lips evaporates, it will take away more moisture from inside the lips, causing the lip mucosa to wrinkle, making it drier. In severe cases, it will cause secondary infection and swelling, causing greater pain. You can drink more water.

2. Avoid tearing the skin boldly. The skin of the lips will usually peel off after chapped lips, but tearing off the peeling skin before it falls off will cause bleeding and pain, especially when talking, the pain will be aggravated. The correct way is to soften the dead skin with a hot towel first, then clean it with a cotton swab, and finally apply lip balm.

3. Avoid eating too spicy food. Spicy food will irritate the lips and worsen dryness. Some foods, such as super spicy grilled wings, contain chili powder which can strongly irritate the lip mucosa, causing ulcers and even blisters.

4. Avoid using lipstick excessively. Most people use it 1-3 times a day. If your lips are particularly dry, you can apply lip balm immediately after eating or drinking.
