How should parents educate introverted children?

We all know that parents and living environment have a vital impact on children during their growth process, because whether a family is normal can affect the child's heart. A healthy and good family environment is conducive to the healthy growth of the baby. Some children may be born introverted, which may be related to the fact that their parents are introverted. So how should parents educate introverted children?

How to open the door to a shy baby's heart

Introversion and extroversion, shyness or extroversion are personality issues and there is no distinction between good and bad. However, in order to allow babies to better express themselves, make friends and integrate into the environment in this world where extroverts are gradually gaining the upper hand, we might as well use some gentle and clever methods to help them open the door to the world.

5-year-old Lala likes running, jumping, climbing and various activities, so when he expressed his desire to join the football team, his mother was happy to find a very suitable one for him. But when the family of three finally escaped from the traffic jam and rushed to the playground excitedly, Lala suddenly seemed like a different person. He stood quietly beside his mother's legs, looking around. No matter how the coach nodded and bowed, or how the other children welcomed him warmly, he refused to take a step forward. "I don't want to play football anymore..." he muttered finally, then left his parents alone and ran back to the car.

In fact, this is not the first time that Lala’s parents have encountered such embarrassment. They signed him up for various activities and parties, and even invited the children to their homes in an attempt to help the child open up, but he always quietly stepped back and hid in the shadows, as if there was a cliff just ahead.

Being shy or introverted is a normal physiological phenomenon. But in this world that is becoming more and more open and increasingly in need of communication and expression, we should help children go out into the world and express themselves.

The fierce competition in the adult world and the increasingly prominent function of marketing have made parents today pay more attention than ever before to how many friends their children have and whether they are sociable. Parents are very eager to improve their children's social skills through training provided by kindergartens, parent-child classes and other social institutions, because they believe that being cheerful, generous, active and popular are important indicators of whether their children or even themselves are successful. However, children cannot always go as planned, so sometimes the more parents want them to come forward, the more they retreat into the shadows.

In fact, there is nothing wrong with being shy. It can reduce the occurrence of danger and indirectly train children's observation, comparison and identification abilities. Shy children can also establish their own stable social circles, but they may need a little longer. But this is a society with an increasingly fast pace, and people tend to accept or reject others based on their first impression. This is why some people say that children in good schools are extroverted and good at expressing themselves, because those shy children are rejected during the interview and their excellence has no chance to be displayed. Therefore, although parents of shy children do not need to spend a lot of effort to change their children's personalities, they can try to make them more open.
