What's wrong with the white spots on the baby's nails?

During infancy, if a child has a physical problem, he or she will not express it on his or her own. As a parent, you should carefully observe the problems in various parts of the child's body. Many health characteristics of a child's body are reflected in the nails. The following article will tell you how to identify problems with children's nails.

A healthy baby's nails are pink and smooth in appearance. Shiny, the half-moon arc at the base of the nail is slightly lighter in color, and there are no barbs on the nail outline. When you gently press the end of the nail, the nail plate will appear white, and will immediately return to pink when you release it. If your baby's nails show any of the following abnormalities, you should pay attention.

1. White spots and floc-like spontaneous clouding spots appear on the nail plate: this is mostly due to compression and collision, which causes damage to the cells at the root of the nail.

2. The nail plate is abnormally yellow, green, gray, black, etc.: The yellowing of the nail plate may be caused by excessive consumption of foods containing carotene or genetic factors. In addition, yellow, green, gray and black nails are mostly caused by fungal infections, because children's hands are moist and sweaty, making them susceptible to fungal infections.

3. The half-moon at the base of the nail is red or light pink: red is often a sign of heart disease; light red is mostly caused by anemia. You can take baby blood-replenishing oral liquid, or add iron-containing foods to the diet, such as soybeans, beef, and spinach. Raisins, etc.

4. The nail plate is raised. Become rough and uneven: This is mostly due to a lack of vitamin B. You can add egg yolks, animal liver and kidneys, mung beans and dark green vegetables to the diet.

5. Small pits appear on the nail plate, the texture becomes thinner and brittle or thicker and rougher, and the nail loses its luster: Such symptoms on the nails may be early signs of illness in the body and you should go to the hospital for examination in time.

6. Longitudinal cracks on the nail plate: The baby may suffer from diseases such as hypothyroidism and anterior pituitary dysfunction.

As parents have seen, the problems on the baby's nails obviously indicate the child's physical health. The above article makes everyone understand very clearly that if there are white spots on the child's nails, it is an abnormal phenomenon.
