Baby's eyes are asymmetrical

Baby's eyes are asymmetrical

Asymmetric eyes in babies are generally a normal physiological phenomenon, but the possibility of esotropia or different sizes of palpebral fissures cannot be ruled out. Surgery is usually required to achieve improvement.

1. Normal physiological phenomenon: If it is a newborn baby, the main reason is that the neurological development is not yet complete. Generally, it will gradually improve with the increase of age, and it will get better around one year old, so there is no need to worry too much or intervene or adjust.

2. Esotropia: If there is no improvement at around one year old and the symptoms are severe, it is mostly caused by esotropia and you need to go to a local regular hospital for relevant examinations. If you are diagnosed with esotropia, surgical correction is generally required. Moreover, any surgery has certain difficulties and risks. You must choose a regular medical institution and a doctor with rich experience to perform the operation.

3. Different sizes of palpebral fissures: Different sizes of palpebral fissures are a type of congenital ptosis, and can also cause asymmetry of the eyeballs. Generally, surgery is required to achieve the treatment effect.

It is best to go to a local regular hospital for relevant examinations, and then make targeted improvements based on the results. In daily life, you must develop good nutritional habits and avoid looking at electronic products for a long time.
