It is best not to use latex pillows for children

In life, many parents do not use pillows for their babies when they are young, because this will cause the baby's spine to bend. Pillows are only given to babies when the baby reaches a certain age. Moreover, the parents will choose the best pillows for the baby, and the best materials will be used. This will allow the baby to grow and develop bones healthily. Latex pillows are generally not used. So why don't children use latex pillows?

All parents want to give their babies the best, so they must not be careless when choosing bedding that is closely related to sleep. However, there are a wide variety of baby pillows on the market, which makes many mothers worry about buying pillows: What are the requirements for choosing a pillow for the baby?

Newborn babies have large heads. When lying flat or on your side, your head and body are almost in the same plane. Therefore, no pillow is required. However, if the baby's clothes are thicker in winter and his head sinks, you can also use a lower pillow (you can use a towel folded in several layers) to keep the body balanced.

After 3-6 months, babies can start using pillows to maintain their physiological curvature during sleep and keep their body comfortable.

Material

Babies grow and develop quickly, have an active metabolism, sweat a lot on their heads, and drool, which can easily remain on the pillow and cause skin infections and other diseases. Therefore, the baby pillow must have good moisture absorption and breathability. Pure cotton pillowcases are best.

Height

The main function of a pillow is to support the cervical vertebrae, so the height of the baby's pillow must be adapted to it. Keep the head and body on the same plane. As you get older, you can adjust the height of the pillow at any time.

Hardness

Baby pillows should not be too hard. The baby's skull is relatively soft during its growth period and the joints are not yet firm. Long-term use of hard pillows can cause deformation of the baby's skull, resulting in problems such as flat head, long head, tilted head, etc. In severe cases, it can even affect brain development.

The formation of flat heads in some areas is also related to the outdated aesthetic views of the elders. Wrong traditional concepts should be abandoned. Babies who have already suffered skull deformation must have regular physical examinations, follow up on the development of their nervous system, and intervene in a timely manner.

The pillow core should be soft, light, breathable and have good moisture absorption. You can choose to fill it with materials such as rush, buckwheat husk, cattail fluff, etc. You can also fill the pillow core with tea, mung bean husk, silkworm sand, bamboo mushroom, chrysanthemum, papaya, cassia seed, etc.

As the saying goes, "Keep the head cool and the feet warm." After the baby falls asleep, the temperature of the head is generally 3 degrees Celsius lower than the body temperature. If the temperature of the head is too high, the baby will be irritable and have difficulty falling asleep. In addition, you should be more careful when choosing pillow cores for children with allergies, as inferior fillings may trigger asthma attacks in children.

We all know that authentic latex pillows are made from the sap of rubber trees. 100% natural latex pillows are made through a fully physical processing process.

Pure natural latex pillow, because of the sap of rubber tree, has natural anti-mite and antibacterial effects. Due to their honeycomb air hole technology, latex pillows are more breathable than other pillows. Latex pillows are not only insect-proof, antibacterial and mildew-proof, but also have the effect of inhibiting mites, providing hygienic and clean sleep protection for adults, children and babies! Therefore, baby pillows made of latex are also top-quality products.
