Baby rash symptoms and treatment

Baby rash symptoms and treatment

Everyone knows that newborn babies have poor ability to adapt to the environment and weak resistance to disease. When infected by external viruses, various symptoms are likely to occur. If the baby shows symptoms of roseola, mothers will be very worried. Treat your child promptly, clean up and standardize in a timely manner, and don't delay. Otherwise it will cause more serious consequences. How to deal with it more safely and efficiently?

1. Roseola infantum, also known as roseola infantum, is an exanthematous febrile disease in infancy and childhood caused by human herpes virus type 6. It is clinically characterized by persistent high fever for 3 to 5 days and the appearance of a rash after the fever subsides. Generally, the rash begins to subside within a few hours and disappears within 2 to 3 days, without any pigmentation or peeling.

2. The baby first has a high fever that lasts for 3 to 4 days, with the body temperature between 39 and 40 degrees. After the fever subsides, a rash quickly appears all over the body, and the rash disappears quickly, without desquamation or pigmentation. These babies also have fever before the rash appears, and the fever can be quite high, but the symptoms of a cold are not obvious. Their spirits and appetite are still good. Their throats may be a little red, and the lymph nodes in the neck and occipital region can be felt but are not tender. There are no other symptoms or physical signs. When the body temperature is about to subside or has already subsided and a rose-red rash appears all over the body, people suddenly realize that the roseola infantum is almost over. Roseola infantum has no effect on the baby's health, and once it occurs, the baby will be immune for life.

3. This disease is mainly common in infants under one year old and can occur in any season. It is extremely rare for a person to be infected more than twice in his or her lifetime. Its clinical manifestations are acute onset, high fever reaching 39-40℃, which lasts for 3-5 days and then drops suddenly, with immediate improvement in spirits. Its characteristics are fever subsides and rash appears, or rash appears and fever subsides. The rash is mostly irregular, in the form of small rose spots, which may also merge into one piece and disappear with pressure. It first appears in the neck and trunk, and quickly spreads throughout the body, especially in the waist and buttocks. The rash disappears within 1-2 days without leaving any pigmentation. The disease may cause respiratory or digestive tract symptoms before the rash appears, such as pharyngitis and diarrhea. At the same time, the lymph nodes around the neck are generally enlarged, which is very meaningful for the diagnosis of roseola infantum.

4. There is no specific treatment for this disease and antibiotics are ineffective. Just treat the symptoms. If you have a high fever, are irritable or easily startled, you can use antipyretic sedatives. If the high fever persists, you need to drink more fluids, such as boiled water, vegetable soup, fruit juice, etc.

If complications such as diarrhea occur, they are also caused by this virus. When you have diarrhea, you should not drink boiled water or glucose or lactose-containing foods (including lactose-containing milk). You should drink thick rice soup with an appropriate amount of salt.
