Why are children timid?

Why are children timid?

Research has found that some children are born timid, but most babies are timid due to negative acquired factors and are directly related to their parents, such as intimidation, excessive strictness, over-indulgence, restrictions on interactions, etc. Over time, these will affect children's communication skills, speaking abilities, etc., and they will become particularly timid.

1. Parents’ intimidation

Many parents do not understand why their children are so timid when their parents are not timid. What is the matter with children being timid? It is understood that a large part of the reason why children are timid is because their parents scare them. Parents often use some devils, monsters and other words to scare their children, which has a great impact on them. How can children not be timid if this continues for a long time?

2. Parents are too strict

The reason why children are timid is directly related to the education methods of their parents. If parents are too strict, their children will be timid. If parents punish their children too harshly after they make mistakes, their children will lose confidence and become timid. Children who live in such an atmosphere for a long time will become very unconfident and naturally become cowards.

3. Overindulgence

In addition to parents' excessive strictness, excessive indulgence is also one of the causes of children's timidity. Nowadays, most families have only one child, and there are many cases of indulgence. Parents' excessive pampering also causes children to be timid. Parents who are reluctant to let their children experience and feel anything on their own will eventually push their children to the cliff of timidity.

4. Congenital factors

A child's timidity may be caused by congenital factors. Some children may be timid because the pregnant woman was frightened during pregnancy or for other reasons. So if it is caused by congenital factors, parents only need to guide them correctly.

5. Limit social interactions

If a child is timid, it may be because he or she is restricted in socializing. If you want your child to become courageous, the child’s circle is very important. Parents should let their children communicate and interact more with children of the same age. This can effectively change the child’s timid situation.
