Little boy urinates painfully

Little boy urinates painfully

Raising a boy at home is a very worrying thing. Generally speaking, the worries of raising a boy are different from those of raising a girl. Boys are generally naughty and more resilient than girls. Parents worry more about them getting into trouble. However, parents need to be reminded that even so, they should pay more attention to the health of little boys. If a little boy has pain when urinating, the following reasons may be present and timely treatment is required.

Painful urination may be related to a urinary tract infection, such as some inflammation. It may also be related to urinary tract stones, which can only be confirmed after examination in the hospital.

Some boys have inflammation of the urethra. This is because many parents pay great attention to the cleanliness of their baby girls' private parts, but often neglect to clean their baby boys' penis, which can lead to inflammation.

Not cleaning and foreskin being too long are the root of the problem

Many parents believe that if their baby has pain when urinating it is because they are getting too hot and it will get better if they drink more water and urinate more. Actually, not entirely true.

If a baby has pain when urinating, it is usually due to inflammation of the urethra caused by long foreskin and lack of cleaning. For baby girls, parents will pay attention to the daily cleaning and care of their private parts from birth, but they do not agree with baby boys, always thinking that it does not matter for boys and they are not as delicate as girls. In fact, baby boys should also pay attention to the health of their private parts.

In fact, every time a boy baby urinates, a small amount of urine will remain on his penis, and most parents generally do not wipe the penis clean after each urination, so urine often irritates the skin and may cause skin inflammation. In addition, for babies with foreskin that is too long, some oil secretions will accumulate in the gap between the foreskin and the glans. If it is not cleaned frequently, "smegma" will form, which will cause inflammation.

Therefore, daily cleaning of baby boy's penis is very important. For example, after the baby has a bowel movement, it is best for parents to use a soft towel wetted with warm water to wipe off the dirt around the anus; dirt is also easily accumulated in the wrinkles on the surface of the scrotum, so the mother can regularly use her fingers to spread out the wrinkles and wipe them; in addition, when changing diapers, first wipe the baby's penis with warm water, and then change into a clean, breathable diaper after it is completely dry.

"Little brother" also needs to be cleaned frequently

For daily cleaning of the baby's penis, parents are advised to clean the baby once every one to two days. Do not use soap when cleaning, just use warm water or clean water.

Parents are also reminded that when cleaning the baby's penis, do not just wash the surface. It is best to pull back the foreskin and wipe it gently with a cotton swab. However, it should be noted that when turning back the foreskin, the movement should be gentle and not forceful. Otherwise, if it causes tearing and bleeding, not only will the cleaning effect not be achieved, but it will be more likely to cause inflammation.

For babies whose urethral opening is already inflamed, do not apply medication blindly. "The most common method is to buy some potassium permanganate, dissolve it in warm water at a ratio of 1:5000, and clean the baby with a cotton swab regularly. If parents really can't grasp the ratio, they can pour a cup of warm water, pinch a few grains of potassium permanganate and put it in. It will be ok if the color changes slightly. Don't make it too concentrated, otherwise it will not only have no therapeutic effect, but will hurt the baby.
