If not treated, the pain will gradually worsen day by day, and the gums will become red and swollen, the teeth will float, and in severe cases, the face will also be swollen, the submandibular lymph nodes will also be swollen, and fever symptoms will appear. This is an inflammation around the root apex, which sometimes develops into a purulent inflammation. In this case, the doctor must drill the affected tooth to drain the pus, take antibiotics orally or intramuscularly, and change the dressings repeatedly until the inflammation is completely eliminated before the tooth can be filled.
