What causes pain behind my child's knee?

Children are innocent and romantic and will not tell lies. Therefore, once a child says that he is uncomfortable, parents must not be careless. The best way is to take the child to see a doctor. It doesn’t matter if he is sick, just treat it as soon as possible. If he is not sick, it will be more reassuring, right? Then the child often says that there is pain in the socket behind his knee. What is the reason? Parents should be alert to the following factors!

1. If it happens frequently, it may be bone and joint disease. The main clinical symptoms are: pain, dysfunction, deformity, etc. The early symptoms are soreness and discomfort in the joints after walking for a long time, which will be relieved after rest. If it is an interfemoral injury, the pain will be aggravated by going up and down stairs. Feeling stiffness in joints after rest. Standing up suddenly after sitting can cause severe pain in the joints. Gradually, the walking ability will become shorter and the pain will last longer. It may develop to the point where the pain does not stop even when resting. The nature of the pain may develop from soreness to stabbing pain. In severe cases, it may cause difficulty walking or limping.

2. There is also a type of popliteal cyst, the main clinical symptoms of which are: no pain at the beginning, or only some swelling in the knee joint, and some patients feel weakness in the lower limbs. When the disease develops seriously, a large mass will form, which will cause limited knee flexion. A spherical elastic mass can be felt in the popliteal fossa. It has a smooth surface, soft texture, no obvious tenderness, and a sense of movement. The mass becomes hard and obvious when the knee is extended.

3. Another type is knee synovitis, the main clinical symptoms of which are: recurrent knee swelling and pain or chronic diffuse swelling of the knee joint, without systemic symptoms. As the synovial fluid exudates and fills the joint cavity, the patella feels like it is floating. There are full bulges outside the knee pit on both sides of the patellar ligament, and they feel like two soft lumps when touched. In severe cases, walking becomes difficult.
