There is a small bump on the baby's ear

A small bump on the baby's ear may be a symptom of a sebaceous cyst, or it may be caused by a fibroma or auricular pseudocyst. We should check its symptoms clearly. If it is due to a tumor or a symptom of a sebaceous cyst, it needs to be removed surgically. Therefore, it is recommended that everyone should pay attention to the reasons why small bumps grow on the baby's ear.

If there are fleshy bumps on the ears, it may be due to sebaceous cysts, fibromas, keloids, auricular pseudocysts, auricular malignant tumors, etc.

1. Sebaceous cysts can grow on the auricle or around the ear, grow slowly, and are closely related to the surface skin, requiring surgical removal.

2. Fibroma and keloid. Fibroma often occurs in the auricle and is a local hard and painless nodule that requires surgical removal.

3. Pseudocyst of the auricle manifests as a painless bulge in the front of the auricle. When the cyst is larger, there is a local distending pain. Examination shows local bulge, no tenderness, and a sense of fluctuation. Puncture and fluid extraction reveal light yellow liquid. Surgery is usually required.

4. Malignant tumors of the auricle are most common in the form of squamous cell carcinoma. When the tumor begins to grow, there will be local itching and pain, local skin erosion and easy bleeding, followed by the appearance of infiltrative nodules or cauliflower-like tumors, often with erosion on the surface. Part of the tumor tissue was removed for pathological examination to confirm the diagnosis. Tumor resection is required, and local radiotherapy is performed before or after surgery.
