Children often have high fever

Children often have high fever

Children are very easy to get sick when they are young. When a child is sick, parents will first measure the child's body temperature. If the child's body temperature is normal, it proves that the child's illness is not serious. But if the child often has a high fever, it means that there is inflammation in the child's body. If the child is given antipyretics quickly, these serious symptoms cannot be dissipated and will cause more serious diseases. So what should children do if they often have a high fever?

1. How to deal with a child with a high fever of 39 degrees?

Not to mention that the temperature has reached the high fever limit of 39 degrees, even if parents see their child's face burning red and their body burning, it is already a very nervous thing. What should parents do if their child has a fever of 39 degrees?

If the baby's fever is below 38.5℃, parents can take physical cooling methods, such as cold and wet compresses on the head; if it exceeds 38.5℃, antipyretics can be taken under the guidance of a doctor. However, a high fever above 39°C can easily cause convulsions in children. Children under 6 months old should be treated promptly when they have a fever because their condition changes rapidly.

Infants and young children under 3 months old should use drugs to reduce fever with caution, and physical methods should be used to reduce fever instead. If the antipyretic effect of medication is not good or the body temperature exceeds 39°C within two hours after taking medication, physical methods should be used to reduce the temperature. It takes a certain amount of time for drugs to take effect. When a child's temperature suddenly exceeds 40°C, physical methods should be used to reduce the fever immediately.

1. Warm water bath: Dip a towel in warm water (the water temperature should not be too hot) and wipe the neck, armpits, and thighs for 5 to 10 minutes. You can also use a commercially available "cooling patch" (or a household ice pack) on the forehead to help dissipate heat and reduce temperature.

2. Take antipyretics. When the baby's fever exceeds 38.5 degrees, the doctor will consider using oral medications or rectal suppositories to reduce the baby's fever. Or when the above physical measures are not effective, oral antipyretics can be taken.

2. What are the symptoms of a child with a fever of 39 degrees?

When a child has a fever of 39 degrees, in addition to fever all over the body, he or she may also have rapid breathing, sometimes flushing of the facial skin, rapid pulse, dry lips, small amount of dark urine, etc.

If a child has a fever of 39 degrees, he or she should be taken to the hospital immediately for treatment. If the fever is not cured in time, the following symptoms may occur:

1. He keeps crying and it is useless no matter who comforts him.

2. It is difficult to wake up.

3. If someone tries to touch or move the child, he will cry.

4. The neck is stiff and inflexible.

5. Uncontrollable twitching or spasms in the arms, thighs, or other parts of the body.
