What is the reason why newborn babies have red faces?

Some parents find that their children blush when they exert themselves. In this case, parents should pay attention to whether their children are constipated. Because children do not know how to express themselves, parents should learn to discover the problem through their children's abnormal behavior. When children have difficulty defecating, they will feel distressed and their faces may become red.

Symptoms of constipation in newborns:

1. Small amount of dry stool. The stool is difficult to pass, there is pain during defecation, and the baby cries constantly during defecation.

2. Abdominal distension, pain, and loss of appetite.

3. Symptoms such as prolonged bowel movement cycle (3 to 5 days) and feces staining underwear.

4. If constipation lasts for a long time, symptoms such as loss of appetite, abdominal distension and even abdominal pain, dizziness, and disturbed sleep will appear. In severe cases, symptoms such as anal prolapse or anal fissure bleeding may even occur.

Infant indigestion massage techniques:

Tui Na massage is very common in traditional Chinese medicine treatment. It refers to the therapy using pushing, holding, lifting, pinching, and kneading techniques. If your baby often suffers from indigestion, parents can learn several techniques to relieve the child's discomfort as soon as possible.

1. Press and push the four horizontal lines: The four horizontal lines acupoint is located in the palm of your hand, at the first horizontal line of the interphalangeal joints of the four fingers except the thumb. Parents can choose to massage or push the four horizontal points. When massaging, hold the baby's hand with your left hand, palm facing up, and massage the acupoints one by one with the fingertips of your right hand for 2 to 3 minutes. When using the pushing technique, the parent first holds the child's four fingers together, and uses the thumb of the right hand to push from the horizontal line of the index finger to the horizontal line of the little finger. Repeat about 50 to 100 times. This massage technique can regulate Qi and blood and relieve bloating.

2. Press and push the Banmen acupoint: Banmen acupoint refers to the acupoint located on the thenar eminence of the palm, and the thenar eminence refers to the bulge that can be clearly seen by the naked eye from the base of the thumb to the wrist when the palm is spread out. Hold the baby's fingers in your left hand, lubricate them with your right hand and massage the acupoints.

There are various methods for massaging the Banmen acupoint. Parents can choose to massage it clockwise or counterclockwise for 2 to 3 minutes. If you use the pushing method, pushing from the thumb to the transverse line of the wrist can stop diarrhea, and vice versa can stop vomiting. Pushing the acupoints back and forth repeatedly can strengthen the spleen and stomach, and repeat about 50 to 100 times.

3. Push the spleen meridian points: The spleen meridian points are located on the radial side of the thumb. Use the middle finger and ring finger of the left hand to fix the baby's four fingers except the thumb, and use the thumb and middle finger to fix the thumb. Lubricate the acupoint with the right hand and push directly on it. It should be noted that when pushing the spleen meridian points, one should only push from the fingertips to the base of the finger, and repeat this about 50 to 100 times, and not in the opposite direction. It has the effect of harmonizing and strengthening the stomach and intestines.
