How to treat recurrent urticaria in children

How to treat recurrent urticaria in children

Because infants and young children have poor immunity, they are easily affected by adverse external influences and stimulation, and are easily susceptible to allergic stimulation from some foods. This can easily cause urticaria in children and cause repeated attacks of urticaria. Clinical investigations have found that the treatment of children's urticaria is more effective through traditional Chinese medicine. In addition, treatment of the cause of the disease is achieved through a combination of internal and external treatments.

1. Traditional Chinese medicine is effective in treating various types of urticaria.

Acute urticaria with wind-heat type can be treated with Jingfang Decoction, while the wind-cold type can be treated with MaGui Geban Decoction. Papular urticaria can be treated with Jingfang Decoction, and acute attacks of chronic urticaria are treated the same as acute urticaria; for those with a prolonged course of the disease, use methods of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, strengthening the spleen and removing dampness, warming the middle and tonifying the kidney, and treating according to syndrome differentiation. For those with heat, use Qingre Kuanxiong Decoction; for those with wind-cold, use Yong'an Zhiyang Recipe; for spleen deficiency, use Weiling Decoction and Renshen Jianpi Pills; for kidney yang deficiency, use Jinkui Shenqi Pills, etc.

2. Treat urticaria according to the cause.

The treatment of urticaria is mainly to eliminate the cause of the disease. Antibiotics are often required when there is an infection, and certain foods should be temporarily avoided if there is an allergy. Chronic infection is often the cause of chronic urticaria, but the cause of urticaria in some patients is difficult to determine or cannot be found.

3. Combine internal and external use.

Internal antihistamines are important in treating patients with various urticaria and can control symptoms in most patients; secondly, topical calamine lotion or zinc oxide lotion can achieve temporary therapeutic effects.

4. Western medicine treatment

Traditional treatments for urticaria often fail to grasp the cause and provide targeted treatment. They often use oral antihistamines and corticosteroids for temporary suppression. Long-term or large-dose topical use of corticosteroids can cause addiction and lead to drug dependence. The most common result is that the condition improves after taking the medication, but once the medication is stopped, the primary lesion at the medication site worsens. It is recommended to use traditional Chinese medicine to treat urticaria, which can achieve the therapeutic effect of curing urticaria once and for all without recurrence.

Urticaria is very harmful and we must treat it in time. Urticaria is indeed a very common skin disease in life. It is necessary to understand the traditional Chinese medicine treatment methods for urticaria, and receive timely and correct treatment when you are sick, so as not to cause more harm due to falling into treatment misunderstandings or missing the best time for treatment.
