Nowadays, many parents will find that the roots of their children's teeth are uneven. This may be caused by gingivitis. Because children often eat snacks, do not pay attention to their diet, and drink desserts for a long time, the teeth will hatch for a long time. In addition, if they do not pay attention to brushing their teeth and rinsing their mouths, it will become inflamed, and finally lead to gingivitis. Although the surface of the patient's teeth looks like they have grown teeth, they will fall off due to repeated friction. Easy Ways to Self-Diagnose Gingivitis Observe the color, texture and bleeding of the gums; normal gums are pink, soft and dense, with spots of color on the surface. If the gums are dark red, soft and swollen, the surface color has disappeared, and they bleed easily when eating, brushing, or touching, then gingivitis can be diagnosed. In addition to the above signs, some patients have subjective symptoms of itchy and swollen gums and bad breath. The main cause of gingivitis is poor oral hygiene, which leads to the deposition of dental plaque, tartar and soft plaque on the tooth surface near the gingival margin, thus inducing gingivitis. If not treated promptly, gingivitis can gradually develop into periodontitis, eventually leading to loosening and loss of all open teeth in the mouth. The fundamental measure to prevent gingivitis is to develop and maintain good oral hygiene habits and master the correct brushing method. The proper way to brush your teeth is to use the vertical brushing method: Place the toothbrush flat in your mouth with the bristles pointing toward your gums and the tip gently pressing against the edge of your teeth. The bristles of the gingivitis brush gradually turn toward the tooth surface and apply force up and down along the long axis of the tooth. When brushing the upper teeth, the bristles move from top to bottom, and when brushing the lower teeth, the bristles move from bottom to top, making an arc-shaped rotating brushing motion. Brush the lips, cheeks, tongue and occlusal surfaces of the teeth in turn, effectively removing dental plaque, soft deposits and tartar at the gum margin; at the same time, it also massages the gums, stimulates gum keratinization, and maintains the normal texture and shape of the teeth. You should brush your teeth at least twice a day, in the morning and evening. It is emphasized that brushing your teeth before going to bed is more important than brushing your teeth in the morning. If the patient already has symptoms of bleeding gums, it is recommended to use medicated toothpaste. An effective way to treat gingivitis is teeth cleaning (commonly known as teeth washing). |
