When is the best time to treat asthma in children?

Childhood asthma is a common pediatric respiratory disease and a chronic disease. In recent years, the incidence and mortality of childhood asthma have been higher. The main causes of childhood asthma are respiratory infections, genetics, and other reasons. The treatment of childhood asthma should be started as early as possible. It is ideal to treat it before the age of six, otherwise it may develop into middle-aged asthma.

While economic development brings you a happy life, it also brings you great harm. Environmental damage, air and water pollution are profoundly affecting people's quality of life. Current medical data show that there are more and more babies with allergic constitutions, which is an important reason for the continued increase in the number of children with allergic asthma receiving treatment.

The best time to treat asthma in children is to control it before puberty (i.e. 12 or 13 years old). Of course, the younger the better, and even better is before the age of 6. If reasonable treatment is received at this time, the asthma symptoms can be effectively controlled and there is hope of cure. If the treatment is delayed, there is an 80% chance of turning into middle-aged asthma, and the difficulty and cost of treatment will increase. Therefore, it is recommended that parents of patients should treat children's asthma reasonably and promptly.

Treatment:

1. Dealing with dust mites

When a child suffers from asthma, parents should not give the child too much freedom. Methods of caring for childhood asthma remind parents not to let the child lie or sleep on fabric furniture, and to clean the child's sheets, clothes and toys with hot water every week.

2. Prevent bacteria

During illness, children's resistance to various types of bacteria is relatively poor, so do not place plants indoors, because bacteria can easily grow in the soil, and also avoid moisture. Keep sinks, trash cans, and refrigerators clean to prevent bacteria from growing.

3.Diet care

Children prefer to eat cool food, but for the sake of their health, do not give them cold food during this period. According to the principle of cold contraction and heat expansion, eating raw or cold food can easily cause the trachea to contract and lead to a relapse of asthma.

4. Exercise appropriately

Methods for caring for children with asthma suggest that parents should accompany their children to do more gentle exercises, such as jogging, swimming, etc. This can improve children's cardiopulmonary function, enhance endurance, and relieve asthma symptoms.
