Don't panic when your child has a nosebleed. How to stop the bleeding quickly

Nosebleeds are mainly caused by bumps, dry weather, and frequent wiping of the nose. Many people will experience sudden heavy nose bleeding. At this time, you can temporarily not go to the hospital, because the bumpy way to the hospital will cause more serious bleeding. You can use some simple methods to stop the bleeding first. If it doesn't work, you can go to the hospital for treatment.

When you have a nosebleed, a quick and effective way to stop the bleeding

People who have had nosebleeds know that nosebleeds often happen in an instant. In the face of sudden situations, we can generally take the following two approaches:

1) Compression hemostasis method. As the name suggests, when we have a nosebleed, we can quickly pinch the front of our nose with our fingers, which is our soft nose, just like pinching the nose with our hands, for about 5 to 10 minutes, we can achieve the effect of stopping bleeding. This is also the most commonly used method for emergency hemostasis; (

2) Cold compress. If there is cold water, an ice bag or ice cubes nearby when you have a nosebleed, you can put the cold water or ice cubes into the ice bag and then apply it to your neck and forehead, which will also have the effect of stopping bleeding. Of course, it would be better if the pressure hemostasis method in method 1 was used.

Things to note when stopping bleeding

When we use rapid hemostasis methods to stop bleeding, there are some situations that require our special attention, such as:

(1) When a nosebleed occurs, some people who do not know how to stop the bleeding immediately will tilt their heads back to stop the bleeding. However, they do not realize that this will cause the nosebleed to flow inward, which is a wrong approach.

(2) After mastering the method of rapid hemostasis, some patients will develop a dependent and blind mentality, thinking that it is sufficient to continue using this method. But in fact, when we have a nosebleed, we must pay attention to the time it takes to stop the bleeding. If the bleeding still does not stop after 10 minutes of using quick hemostasis methods, then we should pay attention to it. At this time, we need to seek medical attention in time because it may be severe bleeding.
