When we find autistic children, we should pay more attention to them and not just give them medication. Any medication can only serve as an auxiliary treatment. The most important thing is to communicate with them more, even take care of their emotions, and start training their behavior and language skills. If they participate in rehabilitation training, their condition will gradually improve. Drugs that improve and promote brain cell function are related to mental retardation. Vitamin B6 and magnesium: Studies have reported that large doses of vitamin B6 and magnesium may improve some symptoms of the disease, but this aspect needs further research and confirmation. The role of family in autism education and training The educational training of autism is not entirely a medical issue. The family's socioeconomic status, parents' mentality, environment or social support and resources all have an impact on the child's future. With comprehensive education and training, supplemented by medication, the prognosis of children with autism can be significantly improved, and a considerable number of children may acquire the ability to live, study and work independently, especially children with Asperger's syndrome and high-functioning autism. Three principles should be adhered to during the education or training process: (1) Tolerance and understanding of children's behavior; (2) Correction of abnormal behavior; (3) Discovery, cultivation and transformation of special abilities. Training should be family-centered, while paying attention to making full use of social resources, setting up daytime training and education institutions, and disseminating relevant knowledge to parents while training the children. This is currently the main measure for autism education and treatment. Parents need to accept the facts, overcome psychological imbalance, and properly handle the relationship between children's education and training and parents' life and work. Turn love, patience and perseverance into motivation, actively participate in children's education, training and treatment activities, and establish long-term consulting cooperation relationships with doctors. The disorder is a chronic disease with a poor prognosis. About two-thirds of children with the disease are unable to live independently as adults and require lifelong care and maintenance. The factors that affect the prognosis mainly include: IQ, the presence or absence of communicative language at the age of 5, and education and training. If planned medical treatment and corrective education can be carried out early and persisted for a long time, it will help improve the prognosis. Prevention is an important measure to reduce the risk of autism being born. In the early stages of pregnancy, that is, during the formation and development of the embryonic neural tube, women should avoid abusing drugs, especially anti-epileptic drugs; avoid viral infections; avoid environments with large temperature differences; and avoid major mental stimulation and trauma. |
