Tonsils are equivalent to the "customs" of the human body. When a virus invades the human body, the tonsils are the first to be affected. Tonsils are the "gateway" to the respiratory and digestive tracts, the main channel for viruses to enter and exit, and the most vulnerable organ. How should tonsillitis be treated? Physical cooling methods When the child is not shivering and is not exposed to cold wind or air conditioning, the first priority for parents is to take off excess clothes or loosen the quilt. Use 35%-45% alcohol or warm water for sponge bathing for children, mainly in areas where large blood vessels are distributed, such as the forehead, neck, armpits, groin and thigh roots, which can achieve the effect of cooling down. If the high fever makes the child unbearable, you can use cold compresses or ice compresses to help the child lower his body temperature. Place a cold wet towel on your forehead, wrists, and calves, and cover other parts of your body with clothing. When the cold compress reaches body temperature, it should be changed and repeated until the fever subsides. You can also wrap ice cubes in a cloth bag and place it on your forehead. Children with high fever should drink more warm water or eat more fruits and vegetables rich in water. If you refuse to drink water, you can drink fruit juice instead; eat easily digestible food, mainly porridge, soup, and noodles during the hospitalization. Drink plenty of boiled water and fruit and vegetable juice, which are rich in vitamins and minerals, especially beet juice and carrot juice. If you want to drink tomato juice, choose a low-sodium product. Solid foods should be avoided during a fever until the condition improves. |
