What to do if your child has low intelligence? Four tips to help you

In modern society, children are compared in all aspects, but it is becoming more and more common for children to have intellectual disabilities. Intellectual disabilities are also extremely harmful to children's physical and mental health. If a child has intellectual disabilities, how should parents treat them? Good nursing methods can effectively alleviate the patient's condition and play a good auxiliary role in treatment. Otherwise it will affect the child's life.

1. Treatment of the cause

For those whose causes have been identified, such as chronic disease, poisoning, long-term malnutrition, hearing or vision impairment, efforts should be made to eliminate the cause as much as possible so that their intelligence can be partially or completely restored. Children with endocrine and metabolic abnormalities such as hypothyroidism and phenylketonuria should be diagnosed early and receive thyroid hormone replacement or special diet therapy for phenylketonuria to improve their intelligence level. For children with intellectual disability caused by social, psychological and cultural reasons, their intelligence can be improved by changing their environmental conditions, allowing them to live in a friendly and harmonious family and strengthening their education.

2. Training and rehabilitation should be coordinated with medical , social, educational and vocational training measures according to age and intelligence.

The severity of the low is to train the patient to reach the highest possible level of intelligence.

3. Dietary treatment: Milk: Every 100 grams of milk contains 3.5 grams of protein and 125 milligrams of calcium. The calcium in milk can regulate the excitability of nerves and muscles. If children drink a cup of milk every morning, it will help improve their cognitive ability and ensure that the brain works efficiently. Fish: Fish contains globulin, albumin and a large amount of unsaturated fatty acids. It is also rich in calcium, phosphorus, iron and vitamins, which can also enhance children's memory.

4. Improve children's ability to live independently. Including training in eating, drinking, dressing, and urinating and defecating, and arranging appropriate group activities, will help promote children's intelligence. You can give your children cards, pictures, toys, real objects, etc. of different shapes, sizes, quantities, colors, and functions to inspire their intelligence. Strengthen movement training. Movement training includes raising the head, turning over, sitting, standing, walking and other movements and balance training to train children's hand and brain coordination ability.
