What causes fetal hemangioma?

In the clinical practice of children's diseases, we often see patients with fetal hemangioma. Most of these patients will form a very obvious red mark on the surface of the body. The blood vessels on the surface are prominent and easy to rupture. If the location of the hemangioma is close to the brain, it may seriously endanger the life of the fetus. Therefore, for patients with fetal hemangioma, we should pay special attention to it, find out the specific cause of the disease, and targeted treatment is very necessary.

The main cause of fetal hemangioma is environmental pollution during pregnancy. Drug stimulation and adverse factors cause abnormal proliferation and expansion of the vascular network in the embryo within 3 months. For example, if some hormone drugs are used due to certain disease factors, the estradiol level will increase.

There are also environmental pollution and food factors. For example, some of the farmed seafood and meat products we often eat, most of the farmed feed contains estrogen, which is commonly known as contraceptive drugs. The effect of hormones can shorten the animal's maturity cycle.

In addition, if the placenta is impacted by external factors during pregnancy, it will cause the distribution of some vascular tissues to become disordered, leading to the development of vascular malformations. In addition, some people believe that conventional radiotherapy, viral infection, trauma, surgery, and vascular reactions after bleeding can all induce cavernous hemangioma.

Most fetal hemangiomas are caused by the mother's failure to pay attention to daily care during pregnancy. Infection or drug stimulation during pregnancy leads to excessive estrogen secretion, which causes vascular malformations in the child, and thus forms hemangiomas. Therefore, for this disease, women must do adequate prevention and health care during pregnancy.
