What does measles look like in children?

There are many types of skin diseases, and most of them can cause itching, redness and swelling of the human skin, so after discovering a skin disease, you must find countermeasures and treatment in time. The measles skin disease has a high infectious rate, and measles can also cause symptoms such as fever in the human body. If a child has measles, what symptoms will he or she have?

Measles virus is a paramyxovirus that is transmitted through respiratory secretions and droplets. Clinically, it is characterized by fever, upper respiratory tract inflammation, conjunctivitis, red maculopapular rashes on the skin, and measles mucosal spots on the buccal mucosa. After the rash subsides, pigmentation and bran-like desquamation remain. What should be done for urticaria in infants and young children? If the symptoms are mild, you can try to buy some anti-allergic ointments (suitable for children) and apply them. Generally speaking, if the symptoms are mild, they will disappear on their own in a short time. Do not use hot water to burn the rash, and avoid letting children come into contact with pet hair, dandruff, excrement, etc.

At the same time, pay attention to keeping warm, because exposure to cold and wind stimulation, such as giving your child a bath and not covering him with clothes in time to expose him to cold wind stimulation, can cause urticaria; pay attention to diet, do not eat crabs, shrimps, clams, clams, snails and other shellfish and aquatic products, as well as pork, beef, mutton, dog meat and other meat products and fish and aquatic products; if the symptoms are inflammatory, the rash does not subside for many days, scratches appear, and the rash increases, you should go to a regular hospital for examination and medical treatment, take medicine according to the doctor's instructions, and pay attention to cleaning the affected area of the child's urticaria. Children will become irritable after having urticaria. Parents should pay attention to their children's emotional changes, care for them and strive for a speedy recovery. Let's take a look at what it looks like when a child has measles.

Urticaria in children develops suddenly, and the skin may become abnormally itchy within an instant. Along with the itching and scratching, red or pale wheals of varying sizes and shapes quickly appear. Some are ring-shaped, and some may merge into large pieces. They disappear quickly within about 10 minutes to a few hours, leaving no trace. The location of the rash is irregular. For example, if you scratch the child's normal skin with a needle, red bumps consistent with the scratches may appear. Most children have no other discomfort except for severe itching of the skin; a few children have internal organs affected and experience fever, headache, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain and other discomforts; in severe cases, there are symptoms of shock such as pale complexion, difficulty breathing, and low blood pressure.

Characteristics of urticaria in children:

1. Urticaria in children is induced by drugs, cold, hot sunlight, mental stress, etc., and urticaria associated with systemic diseases is much less common than that in adults.

2. From the course of the disease, urticaria in children is mostly acute urticaria. However, as they age, allergic eczema and asthma in children and adolescents worsen, or they take medications (such as penicillins and sulfonamides), which may cause urticaria, which may gradually change from acute urticaria to chronic urticaria. Adults are more likely to suffer from chronic urticaria and drug-induced urticaria than children.

3. The course of some special types of urticaria is also shorter than that of adults. For example, manual scratch disease and skin scratch disease in children generally last for 2-4 weeks, while it can last for several months or even years in adults.

4. Urticaria with a genetic tendency often begins to occur in infancy, but is relatively rare. Solar urticaria and cholestatic urticaria (childhood urticaria) are also less common than in adults. However, aquagenic urticaria is more common in adults because children like to play in water.

5. From the perspective of prevention and treatment: It is easier to find the cause of urticaria in children, and the course of the disease is shorter. Therefore, compared with adults, the medication is simpler, the treatment time is shorter, and it is easier to prevent and treat.
