What are the factors that cause precocious puberty?

As the food market is getting better and better, many children have gradually developed the problem of precocious puberty in recent years. In particular, eating spicy, fried, or hormone-containing foods for a long time is more likely to cause precocious puberty in children. Many parents are worried about their children's physical development, so they will give their children a lot of vitamins, or even a lot of supplements, which is the problem of precocious puberty. So what are the factors that cause precocious puberty?

In recent years, the incidence of precocious puberty in children has increased significantly. As people's living standards improve, children's development and growth are also advanced. There is currently no consensus in clinical practice on how to distinguish precocious puberty from normal development, and the focus of the debate is the age limit.

The same age standard cannot be used for children in urban and rural areas, and in developed and developing countries. A relatively consistent view is that girls can be diagnosed with precocious puberty if they develop breasts, increase vaginal secretions, grow pubic and armpit hair, and start menstruating before the age of 10 before the age of 8; and boys can be diagnosed with precocious puberty if they develop testicles, have an enlarged penis, grow pubic hair and beards, have a change in voice, and even ejaculate before the age of 9.

So, what causes the increase in the incidence of precocious puberty? According to experts, the factors that cause precocious puberty in children are complex and diverse, and may be related to the following factors:

1. The trend of accelerated growth and development. Due to factors such as improved living standards, better nutrition, and reduced diseases, this generation of children has experienced earlier sexual development and maturity.

2. The impact of environmental pollution. Foreign literature reports that substances discharged into the environment by the washing, pesticide, and plastic industries and their decomposition products can produce environmental hormone pollutants. These pollutants have been found to have estrogenic activity and are absorbed through water, food, and skin, becoming the cause of pseudo-precocious puberty and true precocious puberty.

3. Intake of foods or medicines containing sex hormones. Nowadays, many parents give their children foods containing large amounts of sex hormones, such as ginseng, royal jelly, pollen, chicken embryos, and silkworm pupae.

4. The influence of social and psychological factors. For example, the content related to sex in television, movies, newspapers, magazines, etc. has increased significantly compared to before. Some children can be exposed to behavioral scenes beyond their psychological age from movies and TV at an early age.

5. Influence of disease. Factors such as intracranial tumors, adrenal diseases, thyroid diseases, genetics, ovarian diseases, liver diseases, etc. may cause children to experience precocious puberty.

The main reasons that may cause children's precocious puberty are as follows

1. The amount of hormones in food increases;

2. Cosmetics containing hormones;

3. The child accidentally eats contraceptive pills;

4. Adverse stimulation from film and television shots;

5. Certain chemical materials used in home decoration;

6. Too much sunshine time.

The reason why the chance of precocious puberty is getting higher and higher is that parents do not pay attention to their children's diet. For example, in terms of diet, children eat mostly KFC, fish or foods containing hormones, which can easily lead to problems with precocious puberty in children.
