Many babies experience skin diseases during their growth process, among which eczema is the most common one. It often makes babies extremely itchy and develops red spots on the skin, which always causes distress to babies. Many parents know that eczema is generally caused by being in a humid state, so many parents always take their babies outdoors to get some fresh air, hoping to improve the eczema. Let’s find out together whether babies with eczema can get some fresh air. Can babies with eczema be blow-dried? Yes, but be careful not to get too hot or exposed to the sun. It doesn't matter if it's blown by the wind, because the goal is to keep it dry. Although eczema does not have much impact on the baby's health, it is easy to recur. In the early stage, the baby will cry due to severe itching, which affects feeding and sleeping. Eczema is generally caused by allergies and damp heat. If your baby is breastfed, you'd better eat less seafood, eggs, milk, etc. At the same time, don't dress your baby too much. I soak my baby in chrysanthemum and green tea water, and when the water temperature cools down, I wipe my baby's face with gauze several times a day. The effect is good and there are no side effects. Clinical manifestations The onset of the disease usually occurs 1 to 3 months after birth, gradually improves after 6 months, and most children recover on their own after 1 and a half years. Some children develop the disease during infancy or childhood. The severity of the disease varies, and the rash is mostly seen on the head and face, gradually spreading to the neck, shoulders, trunk, and limbs. 1. Clinical staging (1) Acute phase: The disease starts suddenly, with skin manifestations of numerous clustered small red papules and erythema, with basal edema, which quickly turn into papulovesicles and small blisters. The blisters rupture and become eroded, with obvious yellow exudate or yellow-white serous scabs of varying thickness, and scattered small papules can be seen on the periphery. The facial skin may be flushed and swollen. The armpits, groin and other areas are often accompanied by intertrigo. Ulceration may lead to secondary infection. The child has obvious itching and is restless. (2) Subacute stage: Evolution of acute eczema due to improper treatment. The exudation, redness, swelling and crusting gradually reduce, and the skin lesions are mainly small papules, which may have white scales, and a small amount of papulovesicles and erosions remain. Slightly less itchy (3) Chronic stage: It evolves from the acute and subacute stages, but may also present as chronic stage symptoms from the beginning. Recurrent attacks are more common in infants and young children over 1 year old. The main clinical manifestations are rough skin, hypertrophy, papules, scales and pigmentation. It is mostly distributed on the limbs and can cause acute attacks and obvious itching under certain inducements. 2. Clinical classification (1) Seborrheic type: more common in infants aged 1 to 3 months. The child's forehead, cheeks and eyebrows are flushed and covered with yellow greasy scales, and there may be a thicker yellow liquid crust on the top of the head. In severe cases, there may be excoriation, redness and exudation under the chin, back of the neck, armpits and groin. (2) Exudative type: more common in infants aged 3 to 6 months. Symmetrical millet-sized red papules can be seen on both cheeks of the child, with small blisters and erythema in between, edema at the bottom, flaky erosions, and yellow serous exudation. (3) Dry type: more common in infants aged 6 months to 1 year. Skin lesions present as papules, redness, swelling, hard, bran-like scales, and crusts, and are common on the face, trunk, and lateral extensor surfaces of the limbs. The above is an introduction to whether babies with eczema can be treated with air conditioning. After understanding it, we know that babies with eczema can generally be treated with air conditioning, which can keep the skin dry. In addition, when taking care of the baby, we must pay attention to ensuring that the baby's skin is clean and hygienic. However, it is worth noting that we must distinguish the difference between baby eczema and rubella. |
