What's the matter with the baby's nose having horizontal lines?

Generally speaking, infants and young children, especially newborns, have thin skin and may even have horizontal lines. This phenomenon is normal. As the child grows older, these horizontal lines will gradually disappear. In fact, not only infants, but also some children or adolescents are prone to horizontal lines on the skin surface, which is often a manifestation of the body's growth and development.

It is a normal physiological phenomenon for a newborn baby to have wrinkles on his face. It may be related to the mother's nutrition during pregnancy. Experience tells us that if pregnant women eat more fruits and vegetables during pregnancy, the baby will have a smoother face. As for newborn babies with wrinkles, there is no need to worry, these wrinkles will gradually disappear after one month. If the baby has blue veins on the bridge of his nose, he will cry for no reason. The appearance of blue veins on the baby's nose bridge (i.e. the bridge of the nose) may mean that the baby is frightened.

There are two types of texture: gravity and dynamic. Gravity wrinkles are caused by the reduction of subcutaneous fat and weakened skin elasticity. Dynamic wrinkles are caused by the movement of muscles under the skin without the skin contracting accordingly. It is like a piece of paper that is folded. No matter how hard you try to smooth it out, it cannot return to its original shape because the fibers in the skin are broken.

Due to the different arrangement directions of various fiber bundles and the influence of their traction, countless tiny grooves, also called skin wrinkles, are formed on the skin surface. In fact, these grooves are potential future wrinkles. In addition, there are multiple groups of facial muscles, whose muscle fibers extend directly into the reticular layer of the dermis. Because the facial muscles directly pull the skin, permanent and obvious wrinkles like the nasolabial folds are formed. The earliest shallow wrinkles to appear are the crow's feet at the outer corners of the eyes, forehead wrinkles and frown lines.

However, it should be noted that if the horizontal lines do not disappear, it will easily affect the appearance. It is best to have a physical examination and let the doctor take treatment measures. Sometimes, horizontal lines are most likely to appear on the abdomen, especially the area above the navel and below the heart. The prevention method is very simple, just keep your head up and chest out whether you are sitting or standing.
