What is the cause of the baby's heart noise?

If a child has this kind of heart noise, it may cause a lot of damage to the child's heart. Any damage in the child's heart can be quickly detected from the moment the child is born, so that the child's heart care will be better. Many parents don't understand why the baby has a kind of heart noise phenomenon after birth. Under normal circumstances, the heart will not have noise, so what is the matter with the baby's heart noise?

You need to do a color ultrasound to confirm it first. Some children can hear heart murmurs, but they do not have heart disease. This kind of murmur is called "functional murmur" or "irrelevant murmur", and the cause of its occurrence is not clear. Some people believe that the blood flow in the child's pulmonary artery strengthens the normal vibration, causing the murmur. This murmur is prone to change, sometimes it is very mild, sometimes it is more obvious, and sometimes it even disappears. It is usually more obvious when the child has a fever, cries, does strenuous exercise or lies down, and weakens after the fever subsides, when the child is quiet or sits up. Therefore, a child’s heart murmur does not necessarily mean it is a heart disease, let alone a congenital heart disease. Murmurs are generally divided into physiological and pathological. Heart murmurs are also a common symptom in infancy. Some murmurs will gradually disappear with age and require further examination for diagnosis.

Ventricular septal defect in infancy: Symptoms of medium and large ventricular septal defect may appear in the late neonatal period and infancy, manifested as feeding difficulties, shortness of breath when sucking milk, pale face, sweating, weight loss, repeated respiratory infections, and heart failure often occurs within six months after birth. Physical examination can reveal a loud and rough full systolic murmur below the left edge of the sternum. Ventricular septal defect in infancy may gradually become smaller or close naturally in the first year after birth. Treatment: Small ventricular septal defect may be followed up regularly because it may close naturally. For large ventricular septal defect or pulmonary hypertension, surgery should be performed as soon as possible. Generally, children can undergo open heart defect repair under extracorporeal circulation at the age of 4-5.

If you find that your baby's heart has noise, it is best to have the baby do a color ultrasound examination to see if the results are normal. If they are normal, then there is no big deal. However, if the color ultrasound reveals that the child has a heart disease, timely treatment should be given. However, symptomatic treatment should be given according to the type of heart disease in the child, and preparations should be made to care for the child's heart in the future.
