Some people believe that the blood flow in the child's pulmonary artery strengthens the normal vibration, causing the murmur. This murmur is prone to change, sometimes it is very mild, sometimes it is more obvious, and sometimes it even disappears. It is usually more obvious when the child has a fever, cries, does strenuous exercise or lies down, and weakens after the fever subsides, when the child is quiet or sits up. Ventricular septal defect in infancy may gradually become smaller or close naturally in the first year after birth. Treatment: Small ventricular septal defect may be followed up regularly because it may close naturally. For large ventricular septal defect or pulmonary hypertension, surgery should be performed as soon as possible. Generally, children can undergo open heart defect repair under extracorporeal circulation at the age of 4-5.
