Treatment of pseudomyopia in children

Treatment of pseudomyopia in children

What is the method to treat pseudomyopia in children? My son is very busy with his studies. I study very late every day. When I write, my eyes are always unconsciously very close to the book. I have to remind myself from time to time to remember to lift them up a little, but I forget it after a while. Two days ago, my child came back and said that he could not see the blackboard clearly in class. I took him to the hospital for a check-up and it was said that he had pseudomyopia. If pseudomyopia is not controlled well, it will become true myopia. Is there any good way to treat it? Now let me tell you what I know.

1. Relaxation and adjustment: ① Mydriasis therapy: Use ciliary muscle paralytics to dilate the pupil. Currently, eye drops are used once a day. ② Wearing a convex lens method: First let the patient wear a convex lens with a higher degree, look at the eye chart 5 meters away to relax the ciliary muscle, and then adjust the degree of the convex lens until the vision reaches basically normal. ③The distance viewing method: After studying or writing for 1 to 2 hours, look at the natural scenery from a distance to relax the ciliary muscles. Do eye exercises 3 to 4 times a day.

2. Use methods to increase the excitability of the visual center and improve visual function: direct current treatment of myopia, ear acupuncture, plum blossom needle, acupoint massage, acupoint conduction, qigong therapy and cold water bath therapy, etc. It mainly increases the excitability of the visual center and optic nerve cells of the brain, which can improve both far and near vision.

3. Improve the learning environment: When reading and writing, remember to maintain a distance of 30 cm and maintain correct posture. Pay attention to natural light and ensure adequate lighting indoors. Combine work and rest, change bad study habits, take a 10-15 minute break after every hour of reading, and do not read while lying down or walking. Pay attention to strengthening physical exercise.

During the treatment of pseudomyopia in children, it is important to use eye testers and maintain eye nutrition, such as eating more vitamin C, vitamin B, and carotene. Correct reading and writing postures are also very important. In addition, some parents think that pseudomyopia requires less wearing of glasses, and often take off and put on glasses, which makes the children's eyes more myopic.

The above contents are the methods I introduced to my friends for treating pseudomyopia in children. Children are still young and do not have strong self-control. This requires parents to supervise their children's writing and reading distance at all times. If they find that their eyes cannot see clearly, do not delay and seek medical treatment immediately. After studying for a while, children should let their eyes look into the distance to relieve fatigue.
