The reason why children have white spots on their fingers

In fact, the situation of white spots on children's fingertips is completely different from that of adults. Basically, the situation is more complicated. You may find that your child does not like to eat at all in a short period of time, and does not want to eat at all. This is anorexia, which is also the most significant reason for the appearance of white spots on the fingertips. It is also a relatively common symptom, so your child will suffer from zinc deficiency. In this case, you must make some dishes that can stimulate your children's appetite to stimulate their taste buds.

1. Anorexia is one of the early symptoms of zinc deficiency in children. It is caused by reduced taste sensitivity. Zinc in the human body mainly affects taste and appetite through a zinc-containing salivary enzyme medium. It is known that taste is a nutritional factor for oral mucosal epithelial cells. After zinc deficiency, the oral mucosal epithelium proliferates and keratinizes incompletely, the half-life is shortened, and it is easy to fall off, blocking the taste bud holes in the papilla, making it difficult for food to contact the taste buds, not stimulating the taste, affecting appetite, and causing anorexia in children.

2. Pica. Pica is also a common symptom of zinc deficiency in children. Due to zinc deficiency, the regeneration of taste bud cells on the tongue is impaired, the taste buds are reduced, and the sense of taste is weakened. The sensitivity to the four tastes of sour, sweet, bitter and salty is significantly reduced, and the taste cannot be distinguished. Chewing as a foreign body is a hobby, which is the main reason. According to reports, the onset age of children ranges from 1 to 10 years old, with the majority being 1 to 5 years old. There are slightly more boys than girls. The course of the disease varies in length and the types of food included are many. They may eat soil, coal slag, paper, wall lime, eggshells, cigarette butts, fingernails, hair, sand, soy sauce, salt, etc., or several.

3. Digestive dysfunction Reduced digestive function is another result of zinc deficiency. Zinc deficiency impairs protein synthesis and reduces stability, causing lysozyme in pancreatic cells and cell autolysis. Zinc deficiency can reduce the formation of carboxyl complexes. When zinc is deficient, the synthesis of the outer membrane is impaired, causing erosion and fusion into large fat droplets, which are not easy to pass through the intestinal epithelium. Therefore, the patient's fat absorption disorder is prominent. The clinical manifestation is chronic diarrhea, which leads to digestive dysfunction.

4. Growth retardation. The authors conducted physical examinations and serum zinc measurements on 158 malnourished children under 6 years old in rural areas of Shanghai and Anhui. The results showed that zinc deficiency accounted for 74.48%. These children suffered from poor appetite, slow growth, frequent colds, fever and diarrhea. After oral treatment with 1% zinc sulfate, their weight and height increased significantly, their sense of taste was fully restored to the level of healthy people, and common diseases were significantly reduced. Zinc deficiency causes decreased appetite and reduced nutrient intake. Experiments have shown that zinc deficiency significantly increases growth hormone in the pituitary gland and blood, and significantly reduces the growth hormone mediator produced by the liver, which is an important reason for growth retardation. Studies have shown that zinc has a direct impact on the formation of collagen tissue, bone growth, growth hormone synthesis, and the conversion of T4 and T3.

Moreover, if the white spots on your child's fingertips are not dealt with in time, it is likely that your child's development will become abnormal, or even much slower than before. In this case, the child's development will not be as good as other children of the same age, which will completely affect the development of the bones and even the child's final height and body proportions, so parents must deal with it in time.
